If anyone is interested in having a REAL challenge, try to complete each mission on Brutal, while setting all 4 Achivement requirements as mission goals.

Meaning, say for example, the very last mission would require you to:

Complete in less than 25 Minutes
Prevent Raynor from taking damae
Kill Odin before it moves out (around min. 22)

Makes for some REALLY challenging games on Brutal.
secret - never again

Try getting achievements... blizzard disconnected me from the server and even though my campaign is complete I have no achievements. It won't even retroactively add them when I log in. Stuff playing the campaign again for achievements I should already have.

At least I was able to continue playing the campaign (single player) despite being disconnected from battle.net. I will give them props for not being completely like EA.

Does anyone else have some Kerrigan achievements bugged? Like my leaping death (leaping strike) and get a grip (crushing grip) achievement numbers won't go up no matter how much I use those abilities.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

You have to reach the number in a single game. What's shown is your best effort so far. So if you hit 120 guys with crushing grip in some game, then it won't visibly increase until you hit 121 or more in a single game

oohhh ok. It doesn't actually specify doing it in a single game in the achievement menu like some of the others do. confusing :[

Those Kerrigan achievements are just lame TT Like the crushing grip one... you simply have to pick a map where there will be loads of little weak units and spam spam spam ur spell. I mean, it's not a challenge, it's just farming like in wow....

To make it better, restart a campaign and never go to the evolution chamber. Never upgrade your units at all :DDD

Honestly I'm not sure if the last mission are even possible without broodlords or with naked ultras, without double drone production and with Kerrigan not being max level :D

Many of the achievements become significantly easier with the "right" mutations, upgrades, and mission order. For example, the Char achievements, including "Going, Going, Gorgon" the difference between having Malignant Creep and not is night and day.

Unless you want this mission under 25 min then:
Kerrigan to clear units (lings to kill buildings after units are cleared)
Mutas to kill BC and thor tank push on raynor.

Then transition into Kerrigan + Ultras (burrow dash + respawn) = Takes a while to macro but 3/3 ultra with resp are unstoppable and did not have to reproduce a single ultra until few died tearing apart final base before doors.

No need for double drones or max kerrigan level (healing + that 300 dmg every 10 sec is enough ;D)

The level70 achievement bugged? I only got 69 in my brutal playthrough and tried to get them later. Semms kinda bugged... I don't want to play the whole campaign over again.

I just finished up a video guide to the mastery achievements for the campaign. They're the hardest of the bunch, but they're all easy relative to the Starcraft Master and WoL achievements. If you need help or don't want to think about them too hard, then enjoy!

It's hard enough and I am quite sure sometimes impossible to do it on hard (due to time restraints of conflicting goals and such). It would certainly have many impossible ones for brutal just as well, let alone the fact that it the increased difficulty may may it essentially impossible.

Point I was trying to make is :
1) never click on the "evolution chamber" in the mission selection screen. Never mutate your units, never do a single evolution mission

2) Never click on the Kerrigan button either. (So you dont have extra life and so on). Because, yes, Kerrigan can solo half the map, even on brutal, if you use those imba abilties.

3) Try to win whole campaign like that. Not sure if it's possible at all. If it is, try to get the achievements done.

Yeah, it's a bug. Blizzard will fix it so don't worry about replaying the campaign. When will blizzard fix it? Who knows? Probably the next update. Your alternative is to check the mission archives and see where you missed a bonus objective. From what I've read, if you restart the campaign from that point you can get the achievement. So if it happened really early in the game, I would just wait.

I'm really confused about Psi-Lence is golden... I am supposed to complete ALL the objectives in the first 12 minutes of the game? What I managed to do was to kill the three psi-lances in 11:30, but completing the rest of the objectives in 30 seconds seems impossible to me. Any hint on how to do it?

TL;DW: make ling/muta or pure ling and blitz the objectives during deep freezes. Split up army to get them all at once.

I dont understand lol... How do you spread creep without activating the nest? Do you guys mean that you put a creep tumor close to the nest but out of activation range? then create a new creep tumor next to it to make it shoot? even if i didnt care about activating or not, i just cant get the creep all the way to the 4rth nest. Never gona happen within 2 minutes of the beggining of the game period, it's far too far...

Is there a way to spread creep that do not involve using the first creep tumor you get for free, the one near your base? I mean you cant plant a tumor wherever you feel like can you? lol

I'm laughing so hard coz i think i tried for hours when there's a little trick i didnt understand ;D

Btw there's also the mission where you're attacking warfield. Tried a couple times to blow up the pf, seems not likely to be possible.

You're assuming too much. You're assuming that it's saying "the first 120 seconds of the game".

It's really saying kill 3 more gorgon battlecruisers within 120 seconds of killing killing one.

you got all the mastery achievements?

Personally I've tried a few that I had trouble with. Namely the Rendezvous one (Premature Evacuation: Destroy all Dominion Structures in the “Rendezvous” mission before Naktul’s brood arrives on Hard difficulty.). Assuming it means killing all structures on your side of the bridge (rather than ALL of them), I've always been a fair bit short of doing-so (although I guess it does look possible)

The reason I'm saying it's problematic is because I don't see what I could be doing wrong. There's no extra minerals or gas that's useable, and unit composition is extremely straightforward since we get only zerglings and queens. I was going to try PURE queen once, but went against it (doesn't seem good)

Pure Queen is the way to go. Every time you have 50 gas, make a Queen. Any extra minerals can go into Zerglings, but straight Queens got it for me on the first try.

But yea, the 4 Gorgon Battlecruisers one has me stuck. I feel like the hatchery tactic might be the best one?
A sound mind in a sound body, is a short, but full description of a happy state in this World: he that has these two, has little more to wish for; and he that wants either of them, will be little the better for anything else.

With regards to the Rendezvous one, lings are fine for killing structures, but either target down first with ranged or use Kerrigan's nuke on things like firebats and especially Hellbats. You can't afford to have them kill all your lings, which they will if you're not careful. I left the base at the far top right (not the one across the bridge, but rather the one right below the bridge) for last, as I found that area the most challenging. You can free the first Queen/Ling on the left side with just Kerrigan at the start, and then use the units you get from that to free the units on the bottom right, which'll give you enough to start continually pushing towards the top. If you're doing it quickly enough, you should have quite a few minutes to build up and take the final area (when you do engage an area, make sure you lure out the things that will kill lings highly effectively first).

I didn't have to use any offensive hatcheries for the Gorgon one. Just keep continually pushing tumors forward as you push forward with your army (initially I pushed forward with just Kerrigan who can be pretty effective by herself, and then used almost pure Hydra with her later on). You do have to use one scourge nest independently of the 4x from my experience, but once you get rolling with your Hydra army you can clear the last two in quick succession and make it. Oh, and I assume it's obvious, but wait until the very last minute to use the first scourge nest - it should be pretty much at your base when you use it...

For most of the time limit missions where the goal is to destroy specific buildings, the easiest method is to just build up a huge army of the jumping Banelings and then right-click down the objective.
Average means I'm better than half of you.
