A bit sad that both of EGTL's best players (and most likely aces), HerO and TaeJa, are not there for the opening match. Will be tough for the rest alone to be succesful. Possible but very hard.

On the other hand if they win without them it will be pretty hype.

This is a chance for players that otherwise wouldn't get to play in every match, like Zenio.

Of course, it's will be good for other players but hey, wouldn't you also love a Flash vs HerO/TaeJa ace match? THAT would be pretty hype.

Amazing news indeed, i'm really excited about this!

Speaking of which, does anyone know if it will be broadcasted like GOMTV does with GS(T)L (by purchasing a season ticket)? If so, does anyone have any links? I tried googling for SPOTV without success, and ongamenet website is not opening here (not sure if it is a problem with my connection or if the site is down / address i have is wrong or blocked).

i admire all your determination, but to think that a foreigner could take a game off of a proleague player is just... lol

may i remember you: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_MLG_vs_Proleague_Invitational#Results

and proleague players played sc2 just for some month back then. they didnt get worse ofc.
every foreigner playing there would be just a present for the kespa teams.
perhaps in matches with no meaning.
try to stay realistic despite the fanboyism.

Thans, I apologize for my bad english

If mid-day means 12:00 (which i'd think):
Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 KST meaning 04:00 CET and as you're in London that should be 03:00 i think... And that should be the time for this match.

On Monday and Tuesday they begin at 17:00 KST meaning 09:00 CET, so 08:00 for you if i'm not wrong.

The only top 5 foreigner there is naniwa.
And he had a positive record.
MvP was a mess and cross-server, so the results don't say much anyway.

Saying that Stephano can't take a game off a proleague player after he beat 4 gsl champions in a row is just...lol.

try to stay realistic despite the fanboyism.

I would also like to think there is a huge amount of unheard champions playing in the proleague. I mean, most them were really skilled in BW and the skill transfers pretty well on some players as we've seen from a decent amount of players already. I'm quite certain Stephano will finish with a positive win/loss ratio, though. Although i don't know how often we'll see him in action. No idea how Thorzain will perform, although i don't expect him to finish the season with positive stats.

Anyway, it's gonna be very good.

edit: Will definitely cheer for Flash though. :p

While i agree with you when you say it will be really hard, i disagree when you say it will be "just a present for the kespa teams". These guys now have the same environment and support for training as the koreans do. Also they have the same (if not more) motivation to play and show results.

It's not fanboyism, one cheers and supports his sports teams in any situation, despite if the opponent is better or worse. And even if they lose to korean teams, this will bring some attention back to the scene, maybe get the interest of new sponsors that will support more tournaments and keep the development of the community/eSports in general which is something we all want regardless of team we cheer for or game we play.

I think no one has nothing to lose with this situation at all. We gotta be more optimistic and look at it from a broader angle.

Hope you understand what i've tried to say, english is not one of my best skills hehe.

With that said, really cool they're upping the price pools a lot. That's a quite crazy sum right there.

I'd assume from TL's perspective, not the GSTL itself. Would be too time consuming to participate in two offline teamleagues plus individual leagues plus oversea tournaments. All we need now is a grand final between PL and GSTL winning teams at the end of the year.

Stephano won't play in Proleague in the near future, in case that is news to anyone.

EGStephano ‏@EGStephanoRC

I am FINALLY home after a crazy tournament month. I have 2 week of resting after what I chain with Millenium house tournament and HSC!
