So now we basicly have to pay a subscription in hotos if you want to play games like SC2 dota and other maps, They pay the map creator and re sell it on the Arcade.........BLIZZARD IS DEAD, ACTVISION GREED TOOK OVER | ||

That is to say, members of the community. Blizzard will take a small cut, but most of the money for each sale will go to the person that made the map. Blizzard isn't going to sell us ladder maps like you claimed in your previous post. This patch exists because Blizzard, while slow, listens to user feedback when it has merit and people told Blizzard that the custom game interface wasn't efficient and needed updating. Custom games were a big part of WC3 and SC1, and it's nice that Blizzard is getting around to making SC2's interface for them better. IF a map creator wants his map to be sold for $ when that feature goes live and IF Blizzard approves it, then that map will be up for sale. For each sale of that map Blizzard takes a cut and the majority of that sale will go to the creator of the map. If Activision greed had any influence on Blizzard we'd be on expansion 2 by now, the map shop would already be in the game, paid name changes would be live, and we'd have some kind of moronic DLC. Currently we have none of those things, so no, Activision greed hasn't taken over anything. *boggle* | ||

You must be blind, It was confirmed by blizzard in the beta of this patch and at blizzcon that they plan to do this in HOTS. Go look it up yourself mr lazy and igornat poster. You can find the Details on blizzards offical site, Along with tons of people companing about it on the b.net forums. User was warned for this post | ||

Uh, the map marketplace is for the mapmakers to sell you maps, not Blizzard themselves. Blizzard gets a cut of what the mapmakers get, but if you're going to blame someone for selling a map, blame the mapmakers themselves for putting a price on their own maps instead of releasing it for free. And it's completely optional. Blizzard isn't bribing anyone. The mapmakers don't have to sell their maps; they can just release it for free like what they've done for years in BW and WC3 and SC2. | ||

EA hiring a studio, creating a game, then firing the studio. FYI, Guild Wars 2 has an in game cash shop on top of the 60 dollar price tag and the paid expansions, enjoy bitching about their "greedy" tactics a month after that game launches. | ||
