BUT that doesn't mean that you are enforced to buy maps to play. It is the decision of the mapmaker to do so. When the system is ready I think the mapmaker would send his map to Blizzard where it would be checked and if has a high enough quality, it can be sold. But it will remain the decision of the mapmaker. I, for my part, won't sell my map as I'm not the owner of the assets I use. At most I would try to include a way to allow people to donate because mapmakers invest years of their spare time in some maps. | ||

Not me at least. They are doing these things in hope to get those kind of people buying their product. Without all the UMS/fun maps kind of guys sc2 would sink alot in player base. Since the game have lost alot of people over these 2 years (the "casuals" that shit themselves by playing 1v1) they just hope to regain some of those former buyers. They don't want sc2 to end up only with the more "hardcore" playerbase like here on TL that play this game serious for 1v1. Also when they look at how popular these kind of custom maps were in BW they see dA ca$hcow. ))) | ||

If you're into customs great, but it seemed like the custom scene was already working smoothly as it was. All they've done is add bugs so far. | ||
