The three time champion of the German Warcraft 3 EPS XlorD announced today on his Facebook Account that he will go fulltime pro soon. During this time he won't represent MYM anymore and will join a new team soon.
XlorDs Facebook Post:
Translation:
So my friends, as the Lord will soon start, as the saying goes, to go wild fulltime, here is the first news. I won't be on MYM during this time and therefore join another team, so start to speculate. Where would you like it the most to see the Spenst playing ??
SO MYM is just a shell for MVP players to go under? Seems like a worse deal for MYM than anything. Plus, now they have 0 players, seems a little useless to even keep the SC2 division anymore.
Actually this is very bad for MYM, but I hope that Xlord will do better than he did so far, when he goes on full time sc2. Maybe another good German player? Who knows, but I wish him glgl! Greetz

Wasn't it a similar situation for SK? Before they got MC they had no players and were basically the same for the 2 oGs guys.
MYM is still very successful on the MOBA front and in Counter Strike anyways, so SC has never been their only thing, plus being a shell for MVP isn't a bad thing because they can now allow people to fly under their wing and bring home trophies along with practice in an international setting which is always.
On a sidenote, XlorD, why not go to MVP and practice in their teamhouse? wouldn't that be the most beneficial thing? I don't watch you much so I am an outsider but that would be the best thing right? Go get to see the world and practice in a world class setting.
Good im none too fond of MYM so Xlord deserves to go to a better team so I hope he finds one who will best use his talents maybe an Acer, Dignitas, mTw, or something like that
The player announces it on his facebook account? Way to go MYM, atleast it seems like the MVP players are now aware of the partnership.
Good for Xlord I guess, I doubt MYM is able to support him well atm. I hope he doesn't end up joining some german centered team like Alternate so we can actually see him outside of europe more than inside of it.
I can't think of an mym moba team off the top of my head. can anyone link theirs? They had an asian dota 2 team but they left to do something else and I can't think of any lol mym team.

CS? On the MYM page I only see LoL and Fifa players. Don't know about their LoL players strength, but the team MYM is pretty lackluster now...
MYM sounded and acted pretty shady for a really long time now. Glad he will soon have a new team! Wonder what it could be...most obvious would be aTn or Type, but who knows

i think its a pretty safe bet that its either type, mouz or atn my guess is type my heart says fnatic tho fnatic would be the mostbestfuckingawesome team that has ever existed
XLorD the SeXLorD 5-0!!! Hope he actually focuses on practise as much as he announces it, then (and only then) he will be very very good! He has shown great games against great players in the past, just the consistency was lacking, so plz practise your ass off iXi. I'll be rooting for you!
Is Sexlord the next zerg bonjwa? Good luck to you, and very weird for MYM, they officially have no players. Also, looking at their Liquipedia page, MYM has had so many amazing Foriegners on their team, Cloud, DeMuslim, Naniwa, Sase, Mondragon, Xlord. If they'd managed to keep all of them they would be such a powerhouse. And weirdly also enough, GARIMTO.
Well before XlorD kinda completely stoped playing he was doing pretty well. He was definitely among the better German players.. pretty sure he will return there rather quickly. good luck to him and MYM. hope they will be involved more in sc2 in the future.
People were oftenly forget that "todays mYm" is not the same as the "old mYm" (the one that had grubby, moon, and the polish cs team). That mYm bankrupted and today the name has been bought by some new fiasco company. It should'nt be compared to it's former glory.

Nope they lost all that too, they currently only have fifa players

they used to have a very good cs team (polish team with NEO), I don't believe they have a roster atm for cs

yeah its true, i said this when they announced the partnership with MVP and some people were idiots and jumped all over me about it. afaik the people from team Wicked which had the old Clan Go guys (space, focus, shy) bought the team.
I'm thinking mouz since Thorzain left. And to the whole mym debate. Mym seems pretty dead right now. I don't understand the MVP thing at all. Did DRG even have anything on his jacket connected with mym?

Thank you. Still sad that such a name lost everything. Good luck to you XlorD!
So I figure XlorD just got done with his High School diploma (Abi)? Back in the day shortly before I quit following WC3 i remember this young kid burst on the scene. UD fighting Gl with whatever team he joins

I think there is no Type house left, because Real and Pheonix are back in Korea and are not coming back, don't know the reasons. Look at HasuObs/Pheonix recent tweets at each other.

i am pretty sure the Type house still exists. their german members use to live there when they got some days off from school
most likely mouz/atn/acer. hes a great player and im sure he will achieve a lot, but hes too unknown for any big international team to pick him up right now.

Type house still exists, but at the moment, only the german players are living there. My guess is that ReaL and Phoenix are practicing for Code A in Korea, but i don't know it for sure either. Would be cool to see XlorD joining them, given how big of a talent he is.
EDIT: sounds like they will probably do their military service :< that would be sad news for me.
I really hope to see him pwning in this game. HIs appearence so far hasn't been the most notable of all time Yet I'm excited to see the german player scene rise! Socke killing it at MLG, Xlord going full-pro, Khaldor and TaKe doing the best casts and don't forget about Darkforce who is pretty high level at D3! :> We rock!
would be nice for a top german team like mouz or aTn to pick him up, but personally I want to see dignitas bolster their Zerg lineup with a solid pickup gl XlorD !
Wait, why can't MYM support him if he wants to go full time pro ? is he changing games ?... they just got a partnership with MVP, and they could at least have had 1 pro on there team... oh well, it was kinda of an SK-OGS thing to begin with.
this guy is INCREDIBLY talented and knows how to get to the top at of rts gamews. he understands work ethic which is very rare. also probably has a think skin now when it comes to dealing with the e-community after being teased a fair bit in wc3. can't wait to see him blossom into the xlord wqe grew to love in wc3 :D.
Sickest pick-up! Probably one of the most talented players out there. He inspired me to do the same and I'll be sure to follow his steps, and become a winner like this badass.
I also hope that Sexlord will play eas to compete in the eps cups, I think it's time for his first eps title in sc2. I always thought he would be the first to take it!
So sad for MYM, they were one of the most famous team because they had the undefeated DotA squad. But now both the SC2 and DotA 2 are not so strong. I hope XlorD will get a good team and MYM will be a stronger team!

Hm I think if take was involved he would've invited him to the HSC to give him more exposure. But it has to be something with XMG.

I am really interested to see what this XMG thing is all about and hope the Lord will finally be able to perform at his best and get some international wins =)
A lot of warcraft 3 pro players switched to full time sc2 but few of them success, i don't think xlord will be extremely easily successful in big tournaments. Not offensive but sc2 is more competitive than war3, tons of good players play the game. Anyway wish him a good luck

Thorzain, Naniwa, SaSe, HasuObs, Kas, Grubby, Demuslim, Stephano => they all have success

LOL. there is actually nearly only ex-wc3 players among the top sc2 foreigners: HasuObs, Nani, Sase, Stephano, Thorzain...
Im just curious to see how he fairs, in the early beta he had some relevance and that kind of slowly disappeared. Especially with other big names around wonder how it will be playing catch up (kind off).
I do recall watching him vs DeMuslim on one of the earl maps and DeMuslim floated a factory into his base (in the fog of war) and made hellions (about 5) and he had no idea till things wre being roasted. :D.
On July 10 2012 05:53 Ksquared wrote: What is MyM going to do now? They can't have a team with no one on it lol
Seems to me that with their partnership with MvP thy have a lot of good players that way. The fact that they only use the MyM tag outside of Korea isn't that much of a problem I'd say because MyM is a foreign team.

But yeah, with the departure of XlorD, MYM only has their partnership with MVP left.
Wow, what is that page? How can they have more FIFA players than anything else? And how can their LoL division only have 2 players and not at least 5? Either this page is really outdated or this team is really dead...

well, lets say the best 20 foreigners contain about 12 former wc3 pros. just saying.
Stephano, Naniwa, Thorzain, SaSe, Kas, Lucifron, Happy, Grubby, Titan, Demuslim, Hasuobs, Nightend, Tod... want any more?
its acutally harder to find non-wc3 related top foreigners acutally LOL

Hes definitly one of the most talented RTS players ever.
well considering he was never top 5 foreigner even when he played quite active I really doubt that. I also recently played him and he seems to be completely out of shape, he is like barely GM level on EU which is miles behind the top foreigners.

Overhyping to the max. He didn't do much outside the german scene, like all germans in WC3. Feel like it's the same in SC2, Germany always has a lot players who are decent, but no superstars.
(Too bad Miou and Tak3r didn't switch to SC2, always felt like those were the most unique players you had in the wc3 scene)

miou played a lot of sc2 at the start but he stoped playing because his results were not too impressive, he played Terran

actually i beat you to it, except i said he'd be near top EU.
i honestly think he will max out there, and i dont think he's even close to "one of the most talented RTS players ever" i just think hes a good competitor with a good confident mindset.
i think he'll be Socke level, and the old Grubby line will become an 'XlorD line', whereby anyone beyond him can compete with koreans, and anyone below him cannot.
lol this guy is the one who said he would be able to stomp stephano easily in two months Well, he seemed to have very little game knowledge during his HSC casting, we'll see how well he does
