I am worried about Ultralisk charge the most. It looks OP as hell. It's not final anyway. I hope Ultralisk charge don't make it.

Ultralisk charge rapes anything on the ground it's completely broken and Terran would instant lose as soon as ultras are out on the field if the game were released as is today.

Watched the battle report with terran, confirmed it: terran got shit on. I don't care if new units are OP for other races, I just want equally op units for terran. Something at least.

You can't really play mech without tank. Battle Hellion and Warhound will not be viable if they are not supported by tank imo. Only way to play mech without tank is to go mass Thors. Other than that it's still the same old mech with different unit but the standard unit will still be tank.

Toss player here, I actually think it will be fine as long as I have templar out in front to feedback, although there might be some scary timings where I'm relying on immortals for defense and they get pulled.

Anyone remember that tanks used to do a ton of damage back in the beta, then they nerfed them? Love to see them go back to pre-nerf levels. They'd be very BW-esque then.


Yeah i think with all the new units meant to deal with siege tanks warrants them going back to 70 damage like in the BW days.

Why do you think that? Hellion warhound owned that protoss army in the trailer. Warhounds are probably more effective than thors now, and battle hellions deal with zealots. HTs can storm battle hellions but they can't feedback warhounds. Archons wouldn't do much damage.

(and if colossi deal with warhounds well, then you can just get vikings vs colossi, so hellion tank viking could be replaced with battle hellion warhound viking, or at least early on where the tanks aren't as good because of smaller numbers)

I get a feeling that that video is not really accurate way judge the game. It just makes more sense to mix in tanks. Tanks may not be so good vs Zealot and Archon but in large number and having other units to protect it then it's decent. Unlike Thor, Warhound is not good vs everthing. It's bad vs Archon and Zealot.

looking from the zvp game, it doesn't look that good, the ultras pop out and kinda look confused what to do for a sec there

I'm really upset with HotS.

I worked so hard for 5 seasons to hit rank 1 master and I did it. And now, I'm fed up with Terran and all the patches, as well as what HotS has to "offer".

I'll be switching to Protoss and I truly wonder if there will be a lot of us Terrans who will even continue on in HotS with Terran. (We've already lost a lot throughout the last few seasons...)

if we remove half the terrans from ladder i think everyone will be happy. when WOL came out it was just ridiculous.

i find it funny that terrans suddenly feel a horrific dispair once blizzard finally balanced them to a 50% winrate. they were probably the same ones telling zerg to stfu and l2p when the game first came out and zerg had like a 43% winrate.

Widow Mines
Widow mines attack air or ground. Spider mines except they have a timer on them and attach to units (you could probably pull them out of your control group to not get owned)
Widow Mine (temp art is a spider mine). Leaps up and grabs ground or air targets. Timer (10 seconds currently). AoE dmg.
Widow Mines trying to break up death balls. If the unit dies (you kill your own unit). It doesn't do AoE to units around it.
Widow mine is factory unit - no tech lab required (can reactor it). Can move them around the map. Dustin expects that most pros will never get hit by widow mine splash. Experimenting with friendly splash. Still testing - if it's air, the splash only hits air, if its ground only ground. Range of vipers is 9 - turrets are 7.

But judging at the battle report, it's pretty clear Blizzard employees are still at the beta level we were 2 years ago.
Them balancing hots based on internal testing makes me shiver.
