Do warping-in units take extra damage until they're fully warped? If so, how much extra?

I have not installed SC2 properly, but rather copied the game folder from my other machine and it works perfectly, but the replay files (when viewed in windows files browser) are not associated with anything. I tried associating them with Starcraft.exe, but all it does is start SC2 and not play the replay, so anyone has any idea to which file I should associate SC2Replay files to? Hey what i did was open with sc2switcher which can be found in the support folder in your starcraft II directory see if that works. That worked perfectly, thanks!

Even with an interface patch. Terran somehow got a nerf lol. (patch for the bunker lol) Well that didn't take long before someone started to whine about balance -_-
To be fair, Jinro got awfully close when describing toss.

No they don't.
It is useful to note that during the warp-in process, the unit warping in is vulnerable in two ways. First, enemy forces can directly attack the warping-in unit, suffering normal damage.

Where can I report maphackers or show the replay on this site?

The warp-in mechanic makes Protoss pretty hard to analyze as an aggressive or defensive race, because Warp Gate really allows them to do anything on the fly due to the near-instant reinforcement and how pooling up money is actually beneficial to the race. So Jinro isn't really far off when they said they can "pull off a lot of bullshit". While their unit compositions are overall linear, there's a lot of tricks Protoss can do that ultimately makes them the mindgaming race.
Though to be fair, Protoss has some rather extreme weaknesses. They have to rely on the sentry to survive the early game, and then they have to rely on some form of higher tech (Colossus or High Templar) to pull them through the midgame. Of course I'm talking about TvP, but ZvP is a pretty big mess as well. They can handle high burst damage (which is why Mech is extremely difficult to play in TvP), but they can't handle high DPS (which is why MMM is so dominant in this match-up). Zerg basically just streams in an extreme amount of Roaches to overwhelm Protoss while they can't have Colossus.

Hi, I'm new to posting on TL. I usually just read and so never made an account before. I just made this account and so I can't create a new thread. I wanted to make a thread about contacting media angencies to raise awareness of MLG Anaheim. Timing is very crucial So I can't wait 3 days. Could someone create a thread for me and just copy the following into it?
+ Show Spoiler +I am hoping that the community can pull together to create some attention for the upcoming MLG in Anaheim. I know, this is a very last minute effort, but I think it is worth trying. We should contact various media angencies to get their attention of this event. We could do it via email, facebook, twitter, or whatever. First, here are some actual media releases that I did find related to MLG. A Press Release of MLG on MSNBC http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47629944#.T8us8MWp2SoA Today Show Article Describing CBS Interactive buying up the advertising rights to MLG and other pro gaming organizations. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/47636148#.T8us9sWp2SoA CNBC article that is exactly the same as the Today Show Article http://www.cnbc.com/id/47633993So, a comment on the press release. We would like an actual story and airtime on TV for MLG. So I think this is worth doing even though there is a press release. Next, I'll list some things that are worth mentioning. Details about MLG I'm getting from the press release. + Show Spoiler +- Money Talks. Starcraft 2 Prize pool is worth 76K with 25K for first place. - Prove it is professional. Mention CBS Interactive acquiring advertising rights. Mention that players are on professional teams, salaried, and have big sponsors. Mention the press release. - Stress that it is international. There are players competing from different continents. - Mention the fact that it is something mainly distributed online. Media loves stories about the internet and a changing society. - Mention any top players that are really young (like Leenock/Maru) and will be playing at MLG. Media loves this kind of stuff. For example, the story of the 6 year old at a spelling bee. - Mention date and location. Other than the national news giants, the others I have selected because they are close to Anaheim. Next, some companies to contact. I searched their sites for "MLG," and most have nothing except where noted. National News Stations+ Show Spoiler +Local News to Anaheim/LA, CA + Show Spoiler +Late Night Talk ShowsThey often do bits where they interview people at conventions/events. Sometimes the fans are the butt of the jokes. It's up to you to decide if they are worth contacting. Personally, I think it would be kind of cool to see MLG on one of these shows. These are some located in CA. -The Tonight Show with Jay Lenohttp://www.nbc.com/contact/general/Have to pick out Tonight Show from list -Conan O'BrienTBS contact info http://support.tbs.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=5475Conan show website http://teamcoco.com/No email. Just facebook and twitter. On right hand side of page. Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated. Even if you can't contact everybody, please just contact at least a random selection. I'll post when I'm done making my contacts and I encourage you to do the same to show support.

Terran is the most aggressive and offensive multitask oriented race, and it also really lends itself to good use of terrain. Also probably has the most diverse styles of play with how different mech vs biomech vs bio plays out, and the relative viability of all three options in all three matchups (much less so mech in TvP). By far the most micro heavy race. Zerg is the most passive race (though I think this gives slightly the wrong impression as they have a lot of aggressive options too, just that they benefit the most from being left to their own devices) and a race that will really benefit from a broad perspective I think (you will be very spread out, constantly increasing your creep and with bases all over the map you have to really be on your toes to keep them all defended). Probably the race that depends the most on having carefully mapped out openings, as you always wanna skirt the line of 'just enough' shit to not die, while being as greedy as possible. Least demanding microwise. Protoss has a lot of bullshit they can pull, with viable timings at every stage of the game (kind of similar to terran). Early game you'll have a lot of micro potential and cute (bullshit) moves, or you can just sit back and go for a more economical play. Incredibly strong 2 base timings. Late midgame you will generally be playing a 'ball' game, moving your gigantic blob of combined arms around the map slaughtering shit and expanding behind it. Late game you have more map presence than any other race with the power of warp-ins turning a single pylon into a threat.
You know QQ'ing aside, bacuse that's what I'm going to do in a minute, as a forever bronze Terran my thoughts when seeing the supply structure for each race goes something as follows:
vs T: A supply depot ooh lets kill it and supply block them.
vs Z: Crap an Overlord saw my push. Well at least I can kill it and maybe supply block them.
vs P: Sh!t Sh!t Sh!t a pylon! Why didn't I scout earlier! Maybe I can kill it before he warps in. Damn it!

The most infinitely valuable wisdom I could ever give you to help you on your personal trip through the leagues is this: Don't ever cry, whine, whinge or be affected by the perceived or actual short comings of your race. I am a zerg through and through. In the back of my head when I see a supply calldown I want to think about it being a shit ability for shit players that can't macro at all.
But I don't. Because if I do I will lose. I will think about things in terms of fairness instead of terms of victory. There is no fair or OP or cheap. There's a loss and a win. Don't worry blame your opponent or his race. You wouldn't say, "Oh I only won because my race is broken as fuck".
Just keep kicking peoples ass until you can find no more.

Don't worry my post was more to be humorous than any real issue I have against the other races. My failure to move out of bronze, for the last year and a half, is mostly due to lack of time to practice. Work and family mean I play about 4 games a week so improvement is slow.
Vs P: I tend to scout after depot looking for cheese and if I don't find any I do a 1 Rax gasless FE into 3 Rax timing with stim, shields and concussive when my first two medivacs pop. I also try to be active with my first marine looking for proxy pylons. I actually feel like I understand this matchup the best right now.
Vs T: I also tend to scout after depot looking for cheese and if I don't find any I do a 1 Rax gasless FE into marine tank medivac. My main issue here, aside from continuing to work on my macro, is I need to work on tank positional battles. Even if I'm ahead on my macro and supply I still lose way to many times by trying to break through siege lines. (I also have recently lost twice in the early game to massive reaper harrass. Is this a new thing? It hits between 6-7minutes with like 6-9 reapers)
Vs Z:
I'm still struggling here because I play it the least and am still trying together the hang of the reactor hellion opening. So I either die to an early bust because my hellions were late and I had no map control. Or I survive to the late late game but let the Zerg take most of the map.
In general though, when I lose I understand from the replay why I did, macro slipped, failed to scout, poor unit control, and i try to work on those areas for next time. Good news is i now win most of bronze v bronze matches and only lose to silver and gold. Maybe I'll make it out of bronze yet.

Honest to god, just pick a build and do it every time. With practice you'll be able to execute it comfortably and win at least 50% of your games then out of bronze and into silver you go!
I know that cheese is hard when you don't play often. I lost to a 8p double spine the other day. It happens; don't even think about it. As long as you (focus) practice macroing and executing a build properly then you'll improve.

Depends on how much you want to pay, but in general the Razer Deathadder is a very good product for a pretty good price. I'd go for one now after I got myself a useless SteelSeries Kinzu, lol.

I did: 1 Rax FE. I aim for 3 Rax 1 Fact 1 port & an eng bay by the time I push. I change whether I go tanks or straight to medivacs if I'm playing T or P. It's working as I'm playing silver and gold players now.
The only thing I can't hold is against one base Z if I FE. I always get baneling busted even with bunkers. So I've been trying the reactored hellion opening.
In any event after each loss or win I watch the replay and see where I was missing SCV production, where I was floating minerals and where my unit control fell short and try and work on it accordingly.
Judging from the players I'm playing I have been improving for several months. But when you play as many games in a week as some folks play in an hour it takes a while for your MMR to rise.

If watching pros play isn't boring to you (it took me some getting familiar with the game before pro play became interesting) then watch some videos and see what styles you like and what you would like to do (ultimately, obviously learning basics comes first). If no race really jumps out at you, just play random for a bit and see what you like.

It sounds like you have a very good idea of what you want to do. If you want analysis on what you should specifically practice shoot me a pm with a replay and I'll (probably) say focus on macroing. Until I reached platinum 9/10 Terrans that beat me did so by simply being able to out produce me and bury me under boots and treads.
The only thing I can't hold is against one base Z if I FE. I always get baneling busted even with bunkers. So I've been trying the reactored hellion opening. Scouting. You see a baneling nest in the first 5 minutes, he's going to bust you. Maybe in gold he might be concerned that you're going to 3rax all in but in bronze- he will bust you. Simply put your barracks at the top of the ramp and build a bunker behind them and he'll never get in as long as you have more than 2 marines. Keep your 2nd CC in your main and oversaturate your mineral line while pumping marine-tank. Move to your nat once you have siege to cover the marines, float your second CC and build up bunkers/depots.
Even repositioning your barracks to be part of your wall at the nat can be useful. Every baneling that splodes on a building is a baneling that just helped you win.
