Also, for how long do you need to be above the MMR necessary for diamond until you get promoted? 10 games? More? 1) As accurate as i can be. With every 100% game its more accurate. I would say im pretty accurate at the moment. if you play always with sc2gears open and have 5+ 100% games i just say as a hand rule +-60 mmr. If no mistake happens.
2) from faq When do i get promoted/demoted? Who cares? its just random icons at random mmr points. But i think this is not the awnser you are looking for so: If you are stable above or under a promotion line for several games. Even if you raise or drop a league you have to be stable first before the system promote/demote you.
how many games stable is is unknown at the moment.

Thanks for the quick response. I've been playing with it open a lot lately, I have around 50 games now. I'm not sure how many 100% games, but I'm guessing I have at least 5. I've been over the promotion line for around 4 games. I know that I shouldn't care that much, but when I started playing Season 1 I always envied the players who were in diamond league. They were so cool.
Anyways, this is an awesome tool!

the point is : the first game is Highest possible value and the second is Lowest possible value so there is no room for mistake. 100 is to much mmr for 1 single game. Anyways he looks stable on +100 now so you really got this points.
If you mark assumptions on, both game 34 and 35 are good games and the difference is 109 points, so something is actually wrong. I just updated and this is the graph now http://i.imgur.com/VJzY1.png, I'm now stable above the diamond line but the opponents mmr seems a bit weird. EDIT: Found a bug! this game was on the outer edge of caped and i did not check for the last edge so he is caped! means you are not above dia sorry will update soon but you are very close to the line !
4.9 BUGFIX Found a bug in the cap-caluclator. This can in some very special cases show the graph to high! So it can be that this patch correct your mmr lower. 4.8 HOTFIX! To Clean the datafile for the future, please click on ("Config" - Tab "Data" - Button "Save Gamefile" ) once. It can be that 4.8 crash the save system for mac again. I hope not! I need a online mac tester, who join me on tl ts, to fix this once and for all !
Whatever you did fixed my graph too. Now I can actually believe in it. I feel vindicated.

You can show the good games by enabling "Mark assumptions".

( i did a smaller where i should do a smaller or equal) he than used the data of some caped games to analyse and this let you see wrong results.
So this bug proved, that you can not work with caped games, what was my main point in our discussion

I should come up with a different name than "mark assumptions" or perhaps just count in the top the amount of total and the amount of good games.

I have a mac, I'll install sc2gears and this plugin tomorrow.

I didn`t test it myself, but a friend of mine wanted to reset his games and the ~delete all games~ and ~clear logfile~ didn`t reset the graphic. I don't want to delete anything in my data, so I didn't test.
Also, he wanted to do this because he went from 800 MMR to 200 MMR after the latest plugin's updates.
Anyway, could you check data? What should one do to reset their data? o.o

I still don't think this is working properly on Mac at all. I played 15 games on ladder today and it still says not enough data, so I imagine it just isn't registering. The config log doesnt show any sign of life either. It just says "time to ladder, no data found" and doesn't show anything after each game.

Sure his division tier wasn't just corrected?

I set up the plugin on my mac, should be home all day if you need me to test something.

For anyone who is interested, this is what my MMR looked like as soon as I was promoted to masters;

You have to click "save gamefile" after it and click "save " on settings to trigger a program restart.
Also "delete logfile" deletes the log file not the part you see of the log in a running program.
Last patch fix a bug in the analyser that could guess your mmr to high. Also bronze is very hard to judge and our offsets are not perfekt for bronze because we dont have much data of this league.

Its most likely not mac , its the save replay settings.

So the rule "be stable in one tier of the league" is way easier to reach. Its enough if you get above the line for couple of games.

whats the problem with this graph? you are the blue line. red is opponent

Nothing in Help system messages.. And it says trigger running in the log when I start MMR Tool but it shows nothing as I am laddering..

Here's the graph of my MMR right after a promotion to master.

It looks like once I got stable around 2050, I got promoted. Last 7 games were in 2040-2050 MMR range.

Hey Skeldark, my MMR just went down after a win, and then added an extra point at the end going back up. The finetune option didn't change it.

Isn't MMR gets calculated based on who you are playing against? So if the system decided to match you up versus a lower MMR despite previous win, nothing you can do, right?

Yes, but your MMR should never drop on a win.
