didnt notice the fps drop but i reckon they should still replace it with another map (third most voted map?)

I love Metropolis! I have a 100% win record on that map (as Protoss). I don't have any fps drops either.

I really hope they don't take it out for too long.

OK, why not fix it? It is definitely because of those stupid rocks they added on the islands. They remove cool map, but still leave OLD OLD maps in the map pool. I guess season is over for me.

This sucks... I really like Metropolis, in addition I have not found any lag issues on that map. Hopefully Blizzard will fix it quickly so we can play on it again after it is taken out of the map pool for a while.

When will it finally be removed on EU, too?

God I vetoed that map.
PvP leads to Phenix 1 or 2 Base all-in´s which are inconceivable intricate to hold.
PvT is ALWAYS 3-4 tank marine 1 medivac or raven or banshe 1 or 2 base all-in.

And PvZ is broken for Toss. I feel sad for the Zergs. I can easily do forcefield gate pushes and due to FF they lose everything.
Besides that I can also go for a air build into colossi mothership archon. Then one push, a toilet and its over.
Its so difficult for Zerg, even to perform a good 200/200 roach a move at minute 12.

Its a really bad map, I hope it will be removed so I can veto taldarim aswell.

I haven't actually encountered this problem before, which is quite surprising considering I have to run starcraft with graphics on low for my computer to cope. Oh well, I'm not exactly complaining, and I'm glad blizzard is fixing the problem for everyone else.

We have become aware that the recently added Metropolis LE GSL tournament map is causing performance issues for some players. We’ve investigated the cause of these issues, and it has been determined that significant alteration of the map will be required to address them. As a fair and high quality competitive experience is very important to us, it will be necessary to remove the map from the ladder while these issues are resolved. The map is scheduled to be removed from the ladder during next week’s maintenance period. We will be cooperating with the map creator in an effort resolve the performance issues, and we hope to see Metropolis LE return to the ladder in a future season.

For those who still wish to play games on this map, it will continue to remain available via the custom game interface.


Nooooo!!! That map was my sure way to promotion. Bad whiny nerds who have bad computers with fps problems. Bad nerds! shoooo... leave Metropolis alone.

I thought they'd only remove it for a week or so. The fact that they have to remove it for such a long time is quite bad. It will also make Blizzard think twice now about including community maps. They might have to undergo an extensive testing period now for quality insurance and enough time to add a sufficient amount of destructible debris and rocks.

Indeed those damned 2 core intel optimisations, 50 would be good on any map... My rig burys every other game, but not sc2 cheers blizzard...
Although I hit the map yesterday, no slower than any other for me... and I really like playing it.
