![]() This sign up might be end the discussion which foreign team is the best. Sure EG or Mouse are good teams but with 3 S-class koreans (I dont care that DRG had a bad day, he knocked out the last 2 GSL champions. How many players can say that?) and guys like ret or sheth who could take a game of everyone in the world, they would be a scary opponent in gstl. I am really happy for Team Liquid, last year as they lost Huk and signed some random B teamer from oGs (i mean how many people really know Hero before he joined liquid), i had bad feelings for the future. This will be awesome!

Not even the most avid Taeja fan would argue that he's the #1 player in Korea right now, either in skill or results. No there shouldn't. The reason why he is ranked 1 is because he has played more matches (and hence has been able to accumulate more point). Nobody has ever said ELO has perfect correlation with skill, but trying to give more weights to live matches doesn't make sense, because a game is a game, and you can only give point in relation to your opponent.

These are the guys you most likely will see play in teamleagues... I don't care who owns a team and who manages it, i care about who i see playing for a team.

I don't care who owns a team and who manages it, i care about who i see playing for a team. Let's check this on TLPD: Sheth stomped Polt easily. Yes, it was a strategy designed to counter Polt but it couldn't work without both having mechanics on about equal level. Ret won Red Bull Lan against Parting, korea-training Naniwa, korea-laddering SaSe. TLO defeated MKP in a teamleague match a while ago. True, Jinro, Haypro and NonY have less consistent results (though Haypro is slowly beasting it up) and i think TaeJa is by far the strongest player in their roster now but just because TL has very strong koreans doesn't mean their other players are bad.

I cant believe how short term all the foreign teams are thinking. Yes Koreans are the best players to a reasonable price but do they really think SC2 stays interesting for everyone besides the hardcore fans if more and more Koreans dominate everything? Which team is gonna win the next team league? -> Well how many Koreans do they have on their roster? Who is going to win the tournament? -> Well which Koreans did get an invite? God...

God... thats exactly how the last few seasons of WC3L were like, but they were still very entertaining.

Maybe it was interesting for the hardcore fans, but what is making SC2 big? Not the people who watch streams and read news for 3 hours a day. But the people who watch SC2 once or twice a week. I for example watched WC3 for twice a month, I never watched a game between Koreans/Chinese. I only knew a few German WC3 players and Grubby and a few more Europeans, those were the ones I was watching.
