I know EG has in the past put players up in the SlayerS house and TL has put Jinro in the oGs house, I wonder if they could do this on a larger scale? <3 <3 go TL!!! The oGsTL partnership is the longest standing one of all and there is no reason to abandon it. Just because Liquid has 5 players in Korea at one point, does not mean it's viable to field a GSTL team of their own. Just imagine one of the players gets sick and can't play one week. You need to have more than just 5 players for the long haul. As for the partnership: The teamhouse belongs to oGs whom allow Liquid players (even former ones on friendly terms like HuK, or temporary guests such as Stephano or Grubby) to stay with them in Korea. It's beneficial to oGs in that their players get to practice with people from different parts in the world and there are business opportunities through sharing contacts both in Korea and abroad. In the history of the partnership, the foreign Liquid players Jinro, TLO, HayprO, and Ret as well as former Liquid player HuK have all stayed at the oGs house in Korea. Some of these players have left after a few months, others have stayed much longer or even returned. Currently, Jinro and HayprO are staying there, with Jinro having stayed the longest by far. Both TLO and Ret have voiced their intention to return to Korea this year. The Korean Liquid players HerO and Zenio used to be long-time members of oGs. There was mutual agreement for HerO to switch over to Liquid as he did not get enough spotlight in oGs (what with greats like MC, NaDa, TOP, or SuperNova on the team) despite being a promising talent. He has been living in the oGs house for all this time and continues to do so. Zenio was acquired by Liquid after he had been released from oGs for rather wanting to live on his own than in the oGs house (which is compulsory for every member, with a few exceptions made such as for NaDa and MC). Needless to say this all went by flawlessly because of the partnership. Thus, Zenio does not currently live in the oGs house but naturally may go there when he wants to practice with his oGsTL peers in person. Akin to Zenio prefering to live at home rather than at the oGs house, Liquid's latest recruit TaeJa (being only 17) prefers to live at home with his family for the time being. In today's GSL post-play interview he said he'll likely move to the oGs house when the new GSTL season comes along to better facilitate practicing with his oGsTL peers. That's the scoop regarding the team house and the partnership. It's a win-win situation for both teams, and needless to say, the owners of both teams are on very good terms.

I am a bit worried about this development though... It seems that more and more koreans are signed by foreign teams. If it continues like that we will have only foreign organisations left, with teams consisting of an average of 80+% koreans who will take all the prize pools in 2 years time. And that would definetely be the beginning of the end... I hope teams will continue (or start) to give foreign talents a chance to shine and grow, or it will hurt the scene a lot in the long run. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that foreign teams sign koreans, that is "globalisation" in e-sports. We just should be careful that this globalisation really stays global. And not a seperation like: managers in the west and players in the east... It's like outsourcing the production (playing) to asia by signing local contractors^^

If i click stephanos name and then go to the international elo list i see marine king@ 1 with ~2475 and stephano @ 2 with ~ 2425 If i click taeja,s name however i get a different elo list with taeja @ 1 with ~ 2225 points Thanks in advance; The first list with MKP top is the one for International Tournaments, the 2nd list is Korean tournaments only. The rankings you see on the front page is the top 5 of each, the first excluding Koreans and the 2nd excluding foreigners. I believe this is the way it works, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

True, but there are no exclusions as such. After all, MKP is indeed Korean but played foreign events. ![]()

That would be beyond awesome if it happens.
