Wat a joke, releasing that big of a patch without a PTR or responding to the feedback they have been getting from the pros...ouch :\ biggest backhand ever
I don't understand you. Nobody can beat a protoss but a zerg will win the final ? I guess that every pvp shall last 10000years. Another good patch!

I think what a lot of Protoss players (including myself) have said is that it would be incredibly hard to get an appropriate number of phoenix out to counter mass muta, even with the new range upgrade. This leaves three options:
1. Make a few pre-emptive phoenix so that you're not completely behind the air vs. air count... but then Zerg might just not make mutalisks at all.
2. Go hardcore double-stargate after you see the mutalisk transition, although Zerg can still tech switch and phoenix are more niche units anyway.
3. Go blink/ storm and sacrifice mobility for well-rounded unit compositions. They're still pretty good against mutalisks. Maybe you can get phoenix and the air upgrade later on.
A lot of us still opt for option three, as we don't want to be locked into air tech or have dead supply in phoenix.
Yes its make sense .. After i see this new patch notes i was "omg.. now toss will sit in base with mass cannons , gonna make x2 stargate and then mothership rush , with some 2-3 gate stalkers" But i was mistaken
Now i just wait for some late game ZvT , to test ultras/ling/infestor vs terran after nerf of snipe. I was playign with friends but its not the same .. as game under pressure on ladder.

patch hasn't hit in korea bro. nice try tho
To be fair, the patch won't really be affecting TvP that much, as the phoenix change is essentially for PvZ and the ghost change primarily affects TvZ.
Today was definitely a day to be happy if you're Terran.
not really, because the protoss/zerg players threw away their games with huge blunders. There wasn't really anything to learn from that other than the fact, that you might win a game if your opponent totally messes up. And aditionally we didn't see that much lategame TvZ and TvP, so these games have really not much of a stand in this discussion here.
And terrans were playing perfectly, riiiiiiiiiiiiiight!
Give me a break. Terrans have 0 problems in both MUs.
Until the game reaches the lategame stages. Terran is early probably favored some cheese withstanding . Then it gets more difficult for Terran , not unwinnable but harder since the Terran army doesn't really improve after the midgame. You get your Bio and or Mech and upgrades then you're basically done. So you gotta do something with it if you can't do that then you will probably lose .And i don't think this is how a game should work. Even if this results in 50-50 balance it's still a stupid ass game design.

Every time I see stupid reply I usually check guy's name, why is it that 90% of stupid replies I see are yours?
Its like you are haunting every thread that has anything to do with terran and just say how terran is OP, easy, no problems in any MU, ghosts are OP and after patch they are still counter to bl, l2p terran add ravens and other dumb crap.

+1 No offense but can bronze-master players stop talking about balance please...

So what do you suggest?
I don't think you can actually really patch the game with some small changes to really balance it out since they decided to add so many totally ridiculous mechanics into the game. So in HotS they need to take a look at lot of stuff and make some really radical changes to it. The crux is that Warpgate/Chrono / The Larva mechanics and Mules maybe Reactors are pretty hard to really balance in every situation of the game. So they have to take those mechanics and completely gut them and i mean really gut them so the focus is no longer entirely on them. ( or at least make them kinda more similar ) A complete overhaul in my opinion is needed to really balance the game . Not sure Blizzard has the balls to admit their mistakes though and do those changes. With what they've shown for HotS so far its looking like it only gets worse.

No, its like I'm sick of terran QQ, even before they are underpowered. In fact, terrans are doing great at the moment. When Z and P were QQing, at least their win rates were shit. But whats you excuse?

The game should be enjoyable by all races on all levels. It has been almost year since we had EU Terran win a major event (Thorzain winning TSL3 in March 2011). It's been pretty much donwhill from there.
Yeah, the Terrans in Korea are doing alright, but this does solve the problem at all.
well I don't even play anymore and won't buy hots if it's more thatn 20 bucks (which means i wont) but I still like watching, so a question to who plays, what can kill a heavy brood/corruptor army now as terran ? aren't vikings weak against it ?

According to Liquipedia, vikings are good against that composition ( http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Viking ). However, infestors' fungal growth can take them out pretty easily,

If he manages to get out almost pure Corrupter / Broodlord and few Infestors/Lings maybe Blings you're now fucked. Thors do very little against both and you would need like 20-30 Vikings which are almost impossible to get without having ~5 reactored Starports. And even then Infestors are very lethal since it's impossible to spread out so many Vikings as much as you would need to not get more then 2-3 Fungaled and still manage to hit enough targets at the same time. If you spread out too much to Corrupters will just pick of the Vikings if you clump too much the Infestors eat you alive. Thors don't provide suffient cover against Corrupters, hell they don't even do that against Vikings in TvT so no way they'd do that against Corrupters.

And when was the last time non-korean P or Z have won a tournament?
As far as I can see, since the time Koreans (and those foreigners training in Korea) have began participating in foreign tournaments, no foreigner has won anything.

Well, one of the problems with vikings is even ignoring fungal and corruption, vikings lose to corruptors cost for cost. Obviously, it gets more complicated than this in a real game, but it's still an issue.

Have a look at Hydras if you think the Phoenix is too niche.
We'll have to wait and see if more lower league terrans will switch, I think the game should be enjoyable for all races at all levels because sc2 isn't here just for the pro scene.
