SC2 came out 12 years after Starcraft. It's now been 15 years since SC2.
Here's a business idea. Retirement home with a PC bang. Call it something like RageQuit Retirement or NoobSlayer Nursing.
PM me a resident intake form if you build this.

Graphically I just want things to be distinct, especially if it's a competitive title. I'd probably still be playing cs if it looked the same as when I first started playing pre 1.4. Unless it's something like tekken where it's the same original mesh and just an increase in polygon and texture resolution for art, majority of the time it's just bad. Eg) the eye strain and clarity from war3 reforged or cs2 graphically in comparison to their original versions is why I don't touch them. SC2's engine kind of ruined the genre because it's probably too good. Units do exactly what you tell them to for better or worse and the only time you can have a pathing issue is funnily enough with the colossus of all units when next to terrain and resources.

It would be cool if they could 'remaster' it so that it ran way better on lower end machines and on modern Macs. The problem is, that it cannot utilize multiple cpu cores well. I think it only uses 2 cores. So for SC2 IPC is above all. Multicore performance is less important.

Sc2 looks *very good* and not because the graphical fidelity is splid, but because the direction in unit design. I have yet to see a non-Blizz RTS where units are so clearly identifiably unique from one another. War3 and BW also did this well (if not better in some instances) but SC2 really deserves credit for this as well.

There is at least one Zerg skin where I have a hard time telling the difference between Overlords and Dropperlords, and at least once Protoss skin where I have a hard time telling the difference between Stalkers and Immortals. I'm that old man shaking his fist at the sky...
