I need a list of your top 10 North American players, all races included. I can easily find plenty of european and koreans stars, but when it comes to NA's very strong players I can only think of Huk, Idra, Kiwikaki, maybe Incontrol/Select... I still need more big names.
Could you guys help me with that ? Don't want to start a war about who is the best, just throw some names
Regards
NA list just at the top of my head: HuK, Idra, Select, Sheth, QXC, Kiwikaki, Destiny, TT1, DDE, Machine

How come professional terran players still keep their medivacs in the same control group as their bio? I mean... It doesn't take that much APM to make them follow your bio units rather than having them in the same control group. It's painful for me to watch a terran stutter step his medivacs in battle, or sending them ahead of the army to get killed.
Is their an advantage to keeping them in the same group as bio that I'm simply not aware of, or should players learn to make them follow instead?

Platinum protoss, inactive for 6 months (played a game every week or two), came back and started with decent success in plat league. Suddenly losing EVERY PvZ (seriously I have lost +15 PvZs in a row) but still doing well against terrans and tosses. Got demoted due to losing to every zerg.

derp Look around TL for guides on how to beat zerg. Write "[G] PvZ" in the search bar to find guides for that matchup.

Hi prOs. I'm having a lot of problems adding units quickly to my hotkeys. so... j/w, how do you guys select ur units and add them to ur hotkeys? do you double click? ctrl click them? etc.
|
My question is why don't more terrans get Ravens against Zerg. with extra gas invested you can get hunterseeker, which kicks ass against zerg since they are all bunched up, as well as it would take care of some of the excess gas midgame

If you already have some units in your hotkey group, hold shift, draw a box over the new units, press Ctrl + (Number where you got your units)

Hi
Tried to make a new post, but because of the new member policy. Anyways; just wanted to post this I read about South-Korea's new policy around online gaming:
Korea considers blocking minors from playing online games for over 3 hours by Eric Caoili [Console/PC, Social/Online, Business] January 27, 2012 South Korea's Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is reportedly reviewing a policy that would ban minors' accounts if they played online games for more than two hours consecutively, or a total of three hours in a day.
While there is already a shutdown law in place preventing children aged under 18 years old from playing online games during a late-night six-hour block, MEST's rationale for the policy is that game addiction comes from how long kids play games, not when they play them.
Critics are arguing that this new policy, along with the existing shutdown law and the recently implemented selective shutdown law, constitutes a "triple regulation" of the game industry in Korea -- and that MEST's theories on game addiction haven't been medically proven.
"If the game industry is really a troublemaker, then the related government [groups] should discuss it and provide guidelines to instruct us," said an unnamed game industry representative, according to a report from Korean industry news site This Is Game.
The official added, "Making similar policies from three different ministries does not make any sense at all. The two shutdown systems of the [Ministry of Gender Equality and Family] and the [Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism] should be repealed if MEST's regulation is reasonable."

Can you actually go up to Silver from Rank 5 in Bronze? I'm more frequently playing against Platinum and Silver and I'm slightly favored, which kind of suggests me that I'm pretty close to get promoted (dunno if I am though), but is it possible?

Division rank doesn't matter so yes, you can be promoted soon.

Do you say many gas, or much gas? I learned in school, that you say many, when you can count it. Resources are counted in this game. ^^
|
It's MUCH gas, not many. You only use 'many' when you count stuff, ie 'many people'. (Doesn't really fit into this but w/e)
|
Ludwigvan, hopefully I can help you out.
Yes, when you can "count" the object itself without a unit of measure. You don't need a unit of measure to know there's 5 marines in front of you. You just count them. But do you count gas? If you had a jar of gas in front of you and somebody asked you how much there was, what would you say? You can't "count" it. You would have to measure it.
Would you say you have "many" gas in your car? No, you would say alot of gas, or plenty. Gas itself can't be counted, but only measured, just like any liquid. You can say you have 500 ml of milk, but that doesnt mean you say "many milk". Because the "500" value is attributed to the unit of measure, not to the milk itself... I guess this means there's "many milliliters of milk", but not "many milk". This didn't come out as clear as I wanted it to be, but I think you get it anyway.

So, we assume, that the Resources in SC2 are measured. The numbers don't describe fixed, nature given, packages, but man made units in the Starcraft universe. ^^
However, who decided the norm that all three races are using? Zeratul, Raynor and Kerrigan in a mining comission? XD
