Please make sure to read the statement from Naniwa that is linked in the full article before commenting. |

Seems a lot better than joining a team and leaving it within a month or two. All of these tradings, transfers, etc just make esports look like a joke. I long for more teams like Liquid or EG where the loyalty and professionalism is front and center (HuK notwithstanding).
GL QxG. At this point, nothing would surprise me.
That's the beauty of hindsight. But we are going to be critical of his every move and assume baseline malicious intent every single time, do we? It doesn't seem too far-fetched to expect some sort of expanding towards KR from a major organization isn't it? Would it have been more wise to include this aspect in the contract negotiations- sure. But such things are always easy to say afterwards

Naniwa is suprisingly honest, and I can't help but back him up on this one. Good luck with Quantic!

Kicking out/Letting go of a Code S foreigner is an insane decision from Complexity, there must have been an amazing justification for it.

Nani´s statement sounds perfectly reasonable. He should not get any shit for this.

Please read the entire article before posting your "I hate Naniwa" messages. He clearly states that he wants to live with SaSe as he is a good friend and also he feels lonely. I kinda feel for him with coL not sending anyone to korea to join him (except for drewbie who went for a few weeks).
But i think QxG is looking scary. SaSe, Naniwa..and the most underrated protoss player inkA, and then their in house entertainer and broski Destiny.

Seems like CoL got a pretty sweet deal. sign Naniawa for a few weeks.
Wins MLG global invitational 2nd @ MLG providence Beats nestea a couple times

Fuck he was pretty comfy at the MVP house when Drewbie was there and he's always been chatty with Sase on twitter ( or sase is tweeting about him lol). It's not like Naniwa can't be nice, friendly, funny or even genuinely charming it's that people only look for the times when he's acting out. ( much like how day9 said no matter how well Idra does in tournaments for the rest of his career he will always be taunted about hallucinated units and gging early in general)
Personally I hope Naniwa finds happiness and companionship on his new team as well as the training enviroment he desires. I want to see him settled and working on being productive in improving so he can just play the game which is all he really seems to want. Anyone who actually follows Nani knows he is not an idiot and that he is a quite little kid from Sweden. It's just the usual hater wagon that builds up the wrong image of him, and he doesn't care about it. Both Nani and SaSe will benefit greatly from being on the same team and living together.

Quantic Gaming @QuanticGaming Quantic Gaming We at @QuanticGaming and @QuanticIM would like to remind all players the importance of sportsmanship and good manners. #MLG #SC2 #Providence Ok well this just got interesting. Quantic Gaming being a little hypocritical
Naniwa did manage to be well mannered, for the most part, during his entire Dignitas time. He does seem to be somewhat hard to handle behind the scenes (my impression) but if a team can put up with that I think he can manage to come of alright. He's just have to avoid doing casual interviews as the one at MLG.

Hard to take things seriously when top players are hopping between teams every other month.

"he does not share the core values of complexity gaming" What? I can't see how this is so ;S.

I see skill isn't one of those. Must be why he left. You're a bit blunt, but to be fair, Col isn't exactly a high skilled team :/. Their biggest player is qxc who they got last week. Before quitting for school, Cruncher was their star player. We don't know what happened that Naniwa left, but I think he realized he was a couple tiers above the other Col players and wasn't happy with that. There's no explanation for the really vague statement of his not sharing "core values", so the split could have been due to anything. I think being unhappy with a team would qualify for not sharing the core values, though.
IMO, Mouz should pick up Naniwa. They're a really strong central-northern European team with focused and skilled players.

Complexity without Nani is basically just a group of friends with some sponsors. They can't really win anything though and no one cares much about them.
Him being lonely makes sense, but I don't see how coL couldn't work an arrangement out that keeps Nani on their team but lets him move in with Sase or someone (maybe the EG guys?). I mean, if you have sponsors, they want their brand being broadcast and at this point that's no longer happening.
Just lol.
Be asshole, get more money!
No.

He's been pretty vocal about wanting to practice with Koreans in a non-GOM house environment anyway so I don't see why'd he commit to this if there wasn't the possibility of that happening soon. Quantic is looking pretty Protoss heavy these days at least with regards to their players with top-tier results so a linkup would probably be best if Nani especially is looking for high-quality practice prior to his run at Code S
Naniwa and Sase will if nothing else get a lot of PvP practice, although given that the two guys appear to be pretty good friends I'm sure they probably practiced together prior to this.
Only shame is the amount of people in the thread who look at the title, don't appear to actually read any of the pertinent material and conjure wild theories out of thin air. Nothing wrong with conjecture by any means, but at least read the fucking OPs! Fixed it for you And I agree on all points!

Liquid will never take him, but he might be a perfect fit for EG, he shares quite some traits with Idra.

Not surprised. Naniwa just didn't seem like a great fit for complexity. Not sure how well Quantic will gel with him but I guess we'll see. Naniwa and Sase as teammates should be pretty sweet. I'm willing to bet they'll make another big pickup in the near future though.

I would reccomend everybody to listen to the KSL commentating Naniwa did with Khaldor, how can you not love this guy. He's hilarious! :D
