.... I hope players like iNcontoL, Machine, Sheth, NonY etc get better and start kicking ass... I really can't take the entire foreign scene been looked down upon by Koreans because every foreign top player (in Korea) seems to be a BM asshole in persona or in truth (except Jinro and HuK T.T).

Case in point, iDra, CutePincessBritneyMajor, and Naniwa... (Stephano to some degree because in many's eyes he's just a kid who could care less about SC2 in comparison to those who bet their lives on the game)

Big pick up for Quantic. Best of luck to Naniwa, sad to think of him alone and kinda isolated in Korea, so I hope this'll be a better arrangement for him. After seeing him at MLG it's clear he's been improving like crazy, I look forward to seeing what more he'll accomplish with a closer team.

hmm, this seems blown out of proportion . from what im reading, nani is feeling lonely, hes from Sweden, Sase is also from Sweden, both of them have the same goals for starcraft 2 and are willing to give up everything, they are now best buds and they want to live to together. Its as simple as that .

Pretty much, yeah Totally understand it :/ Its not easy beeing the only english speaker for sure.

Orly? They tweeted this after naniwa beat nestea.

Seems like these are exactly the kinds of issues one needs to think about before joining a team.

"I'm going to join Complexity. Knowing that I get lonely, and that I'll be training in Korea, are there other members of my team out there? Are there any plans to send additional Complexity members to Korea? No? Then I will not be signing with this team."

Seems a lot better than joining a team and leaving it within a month or two. All of these tradings, transfers, etc just make esports look like a joke. I long for more teams like Liquid or EG where the loyalty and professionalism is front and center (HuK notwithstanding).

GL QxG. At this point, nothing would surprise me.

Maybe he was of the impression that they would send more players? Also people make too big of a deal with players changing teams, it's not really that big of a difference to some other real world sports.

Aww this is just going to set people off about how terrible his attitude is etc etc. Anyone who caught him with Khaldor during the KSL broadcast today saw a much lighter and at ease side of Naniwa. Fuck he was pretty comfy at the MVP house when Drewbie was there and he's always been chatty with Sase on twitter ( or sase is tweeting about him lol). It's not like Naniwa can't be nice, friendly, funny or even genuinely charming it's that people only look for the times when he's acting out. ( much like how day9 said no matter how well Idra does in tournaments for the rest of his career he will always be taunted about hallucinated units and gging early in general)

Personally I hope Naniwa finds happiness and companionship on his new team as well as the training enviroment he desires. I want to see him settled and working on being productive in improving so he can just play the game which is all he really seems to want.

While its a mutual transfer between parties, all these team changes is making naniwa looking more like a sc2 diva. cant be too sure though.

It probably is. With Nestea being a God, he probably foresaw this in the future and preemptively called for the end of the quantic/IM partnership.

Interesting, reading between the lines it would appear that Quantic are close to a tie-in with another team, or at least have given Naniwa this impression. He's been pretty vocal about wanting to practice with Koreans in a non-GOM house environment anyway so I don't see why'd he commit to this if there wasn't the possibility of that happening soon. Quantic is looking pretty Protoss heavy these days at least with regards to their players with top-tier results so a linkup would probably be best if Nani especially is looking for high-quality practice prior to his run at Code S

Naniwa and Sase will if nothing else get a lot of PvP practice, although given that the two guys appear to be pretty good friends I'm sure they probably practiced together prior to this.

Only shame is the amount of people in the thread who look at the title, don't appear to actually read any of the pertinent material and conjure wild theories out of thin air. Nothing wrong with conjecture by any means, but at least read the fucking OPs!

I imagine this has at least something to do with the recent drama between him and Nestea at MLG.

where did this come from?

It's linked in the article. Read the warning thing at the top of every page.

Also, Quantic's website hasn't updated their SC2 roster yet =P

I find it hard to be upset with Naniwa for this, I'm stoked that he and SaSe are in Korea together and then when Destiny goes, if it does for him what it could, Quantic could become one of the most powerful foreign teams.

This seems like a pretty silly move on coL's part, not that we really know the reasoning behind the switch. If Nani was being difficult or demanding more money, honestly and objectively speaking, coL should've dealt with it and given him a raise.

Complexity without Nani is basically just a group of friends with some sponsors. They can't really win anything though and no one cares much about them.

Him being lonely makes sense, but I don't see how coL couldn't work an arrangement out that keeps Nani on their team but lets him move in with Sase or someone (maybe the EG guys?). I mean, if you have sponsors, they want their brand being broadcast and at this point that's no longer happening.
