"Mouz Trap!" Episode 7 - mouz|Marine and TvX focus!
mouz|Marine will be co-casting AND analysing during the games!
After last week with a very successful return of "Mouz Trap!", having had mouz|Hasu talk us through some of the finer points of PvX, this week before ASUS ROG we'll be having another mouz player make an appearance. The newest member of the roster, mouz|Marine, the young 14 year old German will be guest appearing to give us a little insight into the mind of a potential rising star on the up-n-up!
Taking replays from all three match-ups, mr Marine will be commentating along side mouz|Kaelaris as we walk down Terran lane, glimpsing at strategical knowledge through the magnifying glass!
We'll be going live on Wednesday 22th February - 6pm Central European Time onward.
If you want to leave questions in this thread to ask Marine about TvP, TvT and TvZ along the course of the show then please feel free! I can't guarantee i'll ask every question but good ones will certainly be sourced and used if time permits!
What is "Mouz Trap!"? + Episode Archive
+ Show Spoiler +mouz Trap is a weekly show, which focuses on a different player each time. That player will be invited to co-cast current replays of him taken from ladder, cups or events with our caster Kaelaris. Additionally, the invitee will be analyzing his games as well as giving insights into his thoughts during those games. Three replays for each matchup will be covered and casted. Inbetween games, viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions whether live in the streamchat or in the news comments. Our guest for episode four will be no one other than our own Swedish superstar Terran player Marcus "ThorZaIN" Ekllöf. Episode 1 - MMM - Mousesports, MaNa and MorroW! MaNa, do you feel your age factors into your ability to compete? (iirc you said you had no plans to go to Korea due to your age). Would you consider going to Korea in the future and/or what are your future plans?

You came in second at the Assembly summer ASUS ROG tournament (in August) but were unable to try to repeat or do better at the ASUS ROG invitational last weekend (did not attend). Without needing to reveal if you were uninvited or had to decline - does something like that bother you? (Does tournament history drive you more or is each tournament essentially a new challenge?)

MaNa, first of all, how did you get such an amazing IRL name? Second of all, how much do you practice on average, and what are your aspirations in SC2? Basically, do you see yourself doing this for a long time and/or going to Korea at some point?

wow nice, i am a big fan of Hasu. Definitely tuning in.
And I have a question for him as he is a very experienced robo player in PvP.
I wonder how to defend with a robo and some immortals against the standard blink stalker robo build.
It's fine when you are on 1 base but i get in trouble when i expand. So my question is how do u position yourself on maps like shattered temple, shakuras, antiga etc, where there is so much space where they can blink up?
Shall i split the army between my natural and my main, shall i keep an observer in the main and try to snipe the oppponents observer?
I feel like its a loose loose situation. If i dont split the opponents attacks where i am not, if i split he will have the superior army and crash my split army.
And a few additional questions: should i always wait for him to expand first until i put down my nexus in this scenario?
And when is it save to transition to colosses?( After the nexus is up and running or just wait for the opponent to tech first?)

What does Hasuobs think is generally the most solid build in PvP
and what map features favor which build?
Does he think 1 gate expo is doable on all maps in PvT? or are there others where he feels like he has to.. for example go for a 2gate robo expo to be safe
Also what does he think about the common 2base +1 4 gate many protosses do nowadays in PvZ and if he likes to do it whats his favourite follow up

I am glad you're back. I was wondering recently what happened to this great initiative.
As for questions - when to move out and with what composition in PvZ (when not going mass Stargate units) - I am very often intimidated by an army of lings/other stuff just waiting in from of my FFE and then when I think I have a decent amount of stalkers it's most of the time to late beucause Z's economy kicks in.
On streams you hear about +1 zealot void ray - what's a decent timing (both clock-wise and army-wise)?
Unfortunately as a low level player I am still afraid to move out with a small amount of units in the PvZ only because of consequences of loosing them due to bad micro. Any suggestions? I generally don't have this problem in other MUs as only lings are quick enough to surround and make retreat impossible.

Hey just wanted to apologise for the no-show guys. Long story short - ISP cut our internet access 2 days ago because we apparently haven't paid our bills... I had to pay them an extra 25euros to get it reconnected today otherwise it woulda taken another 2 days...

I like the concept for the show but I think it would improve so much by using more recent replays. Even though the analysis is good the information it gives us tends to be quite outdated unfortunatly.
Of course the replays don't have to be from today, I'd guess that something between 2 and 3 weeks old would be the right window for this.
Q to HasuObs: What's your opinion about the Speed-Prism Immortal early game in PvP? Seems to be quite popular on the Korean server recently.

About the "2 mouz at the same time" thing. Can we have two mouz persons playing against eachother and then have both explaining there thought process, actions and such under your guidance?
I would love to hear the discussion. Preferebly two of the more outspoken persons. Thorzain and Mana comes to mind.
