Yep exactly what i mean:

Combine pheonix and tempest into corsair. Use corsair + oracle and DT's to do some epic harass.

Stop there Zerg player don't want to hear that horrible truth.

I almost cried when I saw what the shredder does. The swarm host was so awesome until then. Also, goodbye runbyes.

Warhound needs new attack animation at the very least, and completely ignoring everything balance related am I the only one that thinks the Viper grab move looks absolutely ridiculous?
|
Can the shredder attack air? If not, banshees and muta are still good to deal with them.

I think that if they wanted to change the animation, they probably would have to get game engine people working on it, and they didn't want to for 10 seconds of pre-release footage. If it still is there in the beta, I see your point, but right now they just want to work inside the editor for the new units.

Lol yeah, 2-3 shredders hard counter 1,000,000,000,000,000 swarm hosts.

Swarm Hosts are just ground broodlords, lurkers anyday!

You make vipers, okay so I have to get replicants to clone your vipers so I have a chance against them? Am I the only one who thinks this pants on retarded?
Not to mention theres no way you can possibly have enough gas to support colossi, storm, sentries and that many repplicants in a normal game...
You're just oversimplifying like the dude who said "just walk out of it" and "just spread your units"...

A shredder last for like 6 seconds and cost a ton.

LOLNO
You forget that SC:BW had Mind Control. Replicant is MC on easy mode. Just need vision and volia, Protoss now has MULEs and Scans too! If he can hold the expansion that is. Want to have Dark Archon's mass confusion? Just replicate Infestors and FG.
I can see timing attacks with replicators being the norm if any races goes spellcaster simply because replicating any unit gives it FULL MP and FULL ABILITIES.
It can even be used as clutch defence, such as replicating your own HT for instant storms.

I don't think any non-massive unit should be worth 200/200 4 supply...

We don't even know yet the specific of the viper, its HP, the mana cost of spells and so on. And yes it's relevant, because the viper is a air units, feel like it will be important to focus them out.

Actually that's what Protoss having been complaining about for the past year.

I'd switch to Terran just to yell "NOS" when I hit the redline hotkey for BCs.

Replicator is a dumb unit. Just another fancy version of mind control. I do like the nexus defensive abilities though. That should help out the precarious protoss macro game a bit.

Question, guys. Someone in another thread mentioned the possibility that Blizzard could make the Replicant transformation temporary. Do you think that would that be a nerf or a buff? If it could copy long enough for a battle, then turn back and copy again for another engagement, would that make it more efficient? Maybe give it a timer or energy system? Protoss could invest some of their resources and supply in a portion of their army that's reactionary and can modify army compositions based on the situation. Maybe you need just a few more sentries to survive an attack. Later, you could turn them into immortals or something like that when you decide to go on the offensive.
