You can scan, you can even build turrets where you want, the only other detection we have is spore crawlers, and we can only build them on creep. Spore crawlers move, and scans kill off the entire Terran economy. Not to mention things can just run out of scan range. Also it already sounds like Viper is going to be way better than the Raven, so it's not like you're getting some dumb useless unit like Terran would have to. I'm not saying the viper is bad, and we can't now anyways how all this will work out until the game is out, my prime exemple still stays; if with what we know now a toss goes for dts early enough zergs will not be able to secure a third before they get lair and 200 gas. Edit : I'm not even saying it's bad, because nobody will know until we play it. | ||

A powerful scouting tool (that synergizes well with CB--see what they're making, cb out the counter) that also has a potent "get in, get out" harassment power that doesn't expose your unit to harm the way Phoenix or Void harass does. Its not quite Reaver-Shuttle, but if handled properly I could see it being a very potent weapon in the Protoss arsenal. Replicator: C+/TBD. Not sure about this. The video shows it replicating from range, which could be crazily potent. But Joshy said it required melee, which seems so micro-intensive and niche as to be nearly useless. This unit worries me, because I think balancing it could be very hard, and it will mainly be used to set up specific broken unit combos like Fungal Growth+Psi Storm, or SCV repair+Colossi. Also, does it work on Protoss units. We need to learn more about this. Tempest: B. I'll miss Carriers, but if we finally get a viable Protoss capital ship I'll be okay with it. With Mass Recall moved to the nexus, and Vortex so problematic given that they've been unable to figure out a way to remove Archon Toilet, the Mothership would seem a prime target for removal as well. HoTS does seem like a platform for abuse-able combos. Again, I really do not like what Blizzard is doing with SC2. | ||

Erm, no, all the pros will play HotS, so everyone else will. Anyways, ZvZ is much more fun than TvT. Enjoy staring at tank lines and defending 1/1/1's all day. Im loving all these Terran tears. | ||
