1. The Replicant allows you to use your enemy units in combination with your own. Changing to Terran limits your unit choice to pure terran, picking zerg allows you to control your enemy units for a very short amount of time. So "just changing my race" doesnt work.

2. You dont need to get in melee range.

But maybe its not me who is dumb.


according to askjoshy, they do have to get into melee range.


if you look at the video @1:40 you it doesnt seem to have to be in melee range

Terran is going to ignore and walk pass Swarm Host. spitting out 2 unit is not going to do much when marine have high DPS. even with 10 Hosts you still get about 20 units spawns. the spawn creatures will never reach the marines. So unless the terran need to take over a position, they are just gonna stim and run pass.

This sounds like bling muta viper will be super OP.
Mutas and vipers can swoop in and take out detection then your burrowed blings can kill everything else.

Thors are 600 minerals now and require a fusion core. Theyve got the aoe ability from single player.You can only have 1 thor at a time now,.a la mothership

You Do Realise Protoss initially had around 4-5 more unique units compared to Zergs number of Unique Units.

I just noticed in the Polls 90% of the Zerg were happy with their 2 new units. While the Protoss and Protoss were 50% satisfied and the Terran 35%-65% i think.

Just saying the polls show you guys aren't as satisifed as Zergs but you got more *new* units i'm not referring to Net Gain (since you already had way many more unique Units in WOL)

Don't know about the rest, but I voted on all of the polls, so you can hardly say it's just the Terran that are disappointed in their units. I voted yes for Z and P, no for T. Because the Terran units are pretty lame other than the semi-unrevealed one.

I hope they change the nexus defensive ability. Right now, not only does it look weak, but you must also choose whether you want to use it on your buildings or chronoboost warpgates to get your units to come out faster. Tough choice...

What's awesome is the Snow Maps and stuff. I Can't wait for a lot of new maps.. Hopefully Blizzard will make a lot of HUGE maps for the Ladder etc.

So we can have more macro games instead of 8-10 minute Rushes.

As an aside...

From a design perspective - why remove units from the game at all? What harm could be done by leaving carriers, motherships, and regular thors in the game? They would just add more depth and provide more options for players that would make the game more interesting and dynamic overall.

according to askjoshy, they do have to get into melee range.

Replicants in the gameplay trailer were able to copy siege tanks up a ramp with a full wall of marines between them, though.

Its possible that once a Replicant copies something, that copy is stored for all future replicants to use.
