He has gone 17-7 in his last 24 games, that's 71% win ratio with a very high MMR.

As far as I know, nobody uses Stephanos technique. Adding the hatchery eggs that he uses to reinforce his army to his hotkeys, frees up apm to multitask and spread creep, macro etc. It's an amazing technique to be honest and not many pro Zergs have quite caught on to it. Of course every player is different and are comfortable using different ways of playing but I think Steph's technique has helped him somewhat. It also helps that his decision making is impeccable too.

dimaga uses it, afair sen also, but dimaga almost always uses it since release so no, hes not only one using it, i use it also but it slows your macro, its helpfull for aggresive play but slows your unit production because you have to ctrl click on eggs and than shift, which takes 0.5-1 sec.

it slows your macro because you cannot reselect your hatcheries before you shift add eggs, and after you shift add your eggs you have to select your hatcheries again, which results in slower macro, both methods have its uses

Hmm, when you build units they all stay selected. Then you just need to Shift+number of your army to add them.

If you build drones+units then you got a problem (or if you build different types of units that you don't want on same groupkey).

What if you still had larvaes not being morphed (ie : not enough money, or supplies) ? That's right, they're saved to ur units aswell... And when those said larves were being morphed to overlords, you wouldn't want to bring them along with ur main army, or worse with your mutas right ?
This is the reason why we use ctrl click.
Edit : on 2nd thought, you may not use a hotkey for selecting all ur hatchs, this way you may have to be less reliant on using ctrl click ?

I don't play Zerg so I'm not paying that much attention, but I'm almost positive he often shift-clicks larva out of the group before adding them to the control group.

He's probably ctrl-clicking the eggs. That way you only have to click once instead of shift-clicking 10 larvae.

Not only ctrl-shift is more complicated than control, but clicking on the larva is an issue when you have more than 24 eggs, it requires you additionnal clicks.

Actually he tried his build that he uses on all Zergs on ladder but Stephano defended perfectly and crushed him.

I heard he beat Idra 5 times with that build. Must be pretty strong.
During practice session, I discovered very good build against zerg. -Bisu[Shield]

The kid does not stop. Anyone else notice idra never has anything nice to say about stephanos recent success? its always the standard "he wont keep winning using that style, flash in the pan, koreans havent adapted to it", etc. Showing signs of fear he may lose the loosely given(fair argument), "best foreign zerg" title?

It's more a situational thing, sometimes you don't have the time to ctrl click + shift & select control group (even though at their level of play it's probably not as much a problem).
The huge advantage is that you can send your not hatched yet units directly to where you want at all times, and you can a-click so that they attack in the direction you specified as soon as they come out of the eggs.
Obviously never do that with your mutas if you are already attacking with your existing ones^^
