Well this is only true if you don't depend on the player making money, you can level up to semi pro without winning a single dollar, whereas when you let him train first he might make a few bucks on the way up. If you're worried about this then give your player a AFK strategy and watch him continuously lose. Either way you'll get better players insanely quickly if you enter tournaments continuously. If you don't care about his ELO now and are instead looking to the future then I would highly suggest entering them in every single tournament, regardless of the chance to win or if his stamina is low. If you want your player to stay in Plastic then give him an AFK strat where you only make econ. His ELO will sky rocket back to normal when you play him properly and you'll make money on his meteoric rise to the top. Thanks for the tip. I'll do that the second I hit level 3 (should be any minute now :D).

Damn my young guys have shitty creativity would've liked to try this out.

To everyone above: No problems.
EDIT: Just thought I'd mention it; eventually when your decent players have sunk all the way to Easy A.I league you'll start to see them win even with an entirely econ strategy. The AI will eventually take over and build ~60 army no matter what you stick maximum drones to but it'll never attack. The game eventually ends at 90:30 every time and the other player GGs.
Oh and also, be careful about gaining XP if you don't AFK and don't want to get promoted. XP is gained very quickly.

One last question, should I train up creativity to over 6? Or just leave it as it is?

Someone do me a huge favour and buy this guy:
http://sc2manager.org/viewauction.php?id=11120
He's old and will retire soon, is only $9/day and is a good training partner in the meantime (teamwork = 7 + a few high stats). I just need to get rid of him to push my ELO above the threshold to be promoted to the next level.
EDIT: there is no min. buy price. Any bid will do.

Do maps have any effect on who wins games?

Thats either not new or the second players with everything 0 apart from one stat with 3...there are a few really bad players out there :p that could be the game version of myself ^^
Finally got a top4 in a team game last night...my captain still puts in some wins and my 12 years old has started to jump his stats despite the fact that his dedication is only 3, he is still progressing fast.

Man, that game is addictive I stayed up last night, watching the HoNCast coz Testie was playing and I kept on checking back on SC2Manager ... I've spent more time on the game then watching the stream actually. Missed a couple of great signings coz I got outbid heavly and won my first level 2 team tourney. Hey, hey, hey ! I'm a baller now

Anyone know if teams still get promoted despite having a low average ELO? I have the xp to get to level 4, but too many streamers to get 2140 avg. ELO.

No. Seems that bug has been fixed. I'm currently sitting at 60k/35k and haven't been promoted yet. Deliberately tanked my ELO so I could stay.
