A few hours ago a bid for a young protoss went from 150$ salary to 750$ i na few minutes. Right now another young Protoss went from 60$ to 250$ to... 1100$ in few seconds (and auction not over...)
Just seems rich/best teams can get the best players and be better. Other teams can suck it up... More teams are reaching level 4+ Starting from level 4 sponsorship money is huge compared to level 3 and below. Level 3 I barely make $1400 daily but at 4 I'd get 4k atleast.
And you could see that a lot of teams have reached level 4 thus a lot of players can go up till 1k+ day salary.

Yeah i know but it's terrible i think, those teams can just spend huge cash and get the best players easily which means they will win more money.
Other teams have no chance to get those players for now. In a few weeks they gonna offer them 10.000$/day...

I know lvl 5 sponsor is like 9k+ a day. I need 40 elo to get it . No clan war at lvl 5 though...
|
Admin is probably gonna add clan wars for higher levels later so it's not a big deal if you can get a sponsor for 9k$/day :/
|
Yea, I just want a 13v13.

Does anyone know how long it takes for merch income to actualize to the curret avg pop? I should be getting arround 300 but only actualy get 180
|
Does anyone else think they should add some system where it allows smaller/lower level teams to keep/get decent players? As many people have mentioned it's next to impossible to get any good players without them getting poached or outbid. So it seems like the rich just get richer, and there isn't much you can do about it.
I was trying to think of a way to prevent it but I couldn't really think of any other than adding some sort of roster cap/salary cap.

I don't really think it's that hard to get young talent to be honest. I'm only level 2 and I'm not winning any big tournaments at all, but there was no problem in getting 5-6 young 9+ dedication guys for 60$ a day at most. But yeah poaching seems really silly even with the recent changes.
|
If you are talking about a young player with some 5-6 stats only yeah, but he is not gonna win you anything or be really good before a LONG time, especially if he has some very low stats that matters (like a 1 in vX, macro, etc).
But a player with a lot of good stats >5-6 you not gonna get him for like 50$. I watch the FA for 2 days and i never saw a "low price" for that kind of plyaers, always several hundreds $.

Surely I can't be making that many bad strategic decisions
It may be yellow fever, but generally the trait is not that extreme. I've won with yellow fever players in the past. It may be the competition.

Is the IIRC broken? It says I'm banned when I try and get in :S
Also I missed the qualifiers.... I could have easily made top 8 in SEA with my ace ><. Would have loved a heads up

So what do you expect? If you want a player that is 12, has 9+ dedication and every stat 6+ then yeah you've to spend a shit ton of money. If you're too picky and impatient then you've to pay the price.
My worst young guy had really bad stats except dedication and he's now almost up to 7.5+ on every relevant stat and he is only 12. The rich teams are having the luxury of not having to wait 1-2 weeks for the young guys to be 8+ in every stat because they have the money for it and I don't see a problem with that.

Well you have clearly a wonderkid then and were lucky to got him... but this an exception, no regular FA/market players.
The problem is that rich teams can just spend cash and get all the wonderkid they want easily, which means they will make their team stronger and that means more money in the future.
Low teams have to stick to average players and cannot reduce the gap. I think that the system should be changed a little bit but i don't know how. I'm not really familiar with the draft system but isn't this a way to prevent rich teams in some sports to get all the best players and get even better ? Maybe something like that should be added were high level team / rich teams can't buy players who are too young. Or maybe some kind of limit of players / salary cap / highest salary / etc.
The poaching seems completely stupid (only level 3, don't know exactly how it works) and the whole system seems to make the rich team always more rich and better. There should be some downside no ?
What is bad when you get a high level team with high $$$ sponsors ? you can do everything i think ? Is there some kind of limit ? Isn't this a bad thing for the "economy" or how a manager game should work ?
I don't really know to be honest, just pointing out some things that look weird/bad for the game. Especially for the long term. Like i said, what are the salaries gonna be in a few weeks/months ? What are new players gonna do with their 2-4 stats players ?

I picked up a 9 year old European boy with no life for $1000 a day.
I just find that sentence amusing.

I don't think he's so special to be honest because every young player of mine is progressing really good so far. I still think it's pretty reasonable for the rich teams to get a shortcut with the young players with high stats.
I think a limit to the salary like in the NBA would be a good way to prevent rich teams to get a lot of great players but I don't know if that'd work in this kind of game. The only thing close to a draft would be a b team where the low ELO/money teams are getting the better players and yeah poaching is the stupidest thing in the game right now and it should be removed.
I share a lot of your concerns but the game is still young and I think Unipedal will do his best to make this game better.

It's all relative :D You have 4k salary whilst they only have like 800 or something. Their level is lower than yours as well which does make a huge difference in sponsors, merch and bonusses. Once I hit level 4 I will free up about $3.5k daily (from $350). So obviously I can afford either a player that is going to cost me $3.5k daily or I get several good players for $500-600 daily or just save up for teamhouse! I'm only level 2.

Yeah he did some good changes/additions last days And servers are better too i think ? (at least for me, way less downtime than before)

Yup the servers seem a lot more stable the last few days.

The free agent system is very interesting, but it's scary to bit for somebody who you have no idea of their stats!

You lose 3.5k a day? surely this can't be good?
My star player only wanted 45$ in salary with 3,8k earnings, I have around 16 players and waste a total of 371$ on them. 300$ for one person seems like a lot unless you're making way more than that every day.
Also I make about 1.2k a day instead of losing money.
