My current salary is 4k and I lose 3.5k a day but I'm not bankrupt or anywhere close to it. Maybe you're playing wrong? It's all relative :D You have 4k salary whilst they only have like 800 or something. Their level is lower than yours as well which does make a huge difference in sponsors, merch and bonusses. Once I hit level 4 I will free up about $3.5k daily (from $350). So obviously I can afford either a player that is going to cost me $3.5k daily or I get several good players for $500-600 daily or just save up for teamhouse! I'm only level 2. lol level 2 with 4k salary. Then you mean low salary but your income is huge due to the bonusses of tourney winnings / merch? Cuz I was only thinking of sponsorship salary (no tourney bonus).
Else I fail to see how you can get 4k daily without sponsorship tourney bonus :D
Edit: Guess FA is now going to be such a more luck based scouting than player stats scouting

The problem is that rich teams can just spend cash and get all the wonderkid they want easily, which means they will make their team stronger and that means more money in the future.
Low teams have to stick to average players and cannot reduce the gap. I think that the system should be changed a little bit but i don't know how. I'm not really familiar with the draft system but isn't this a way to prevent rich teams in some sports to get all the best players and get even better ? Maybe something like that should be added were high level team / rich teams can't buy players who are too young. Or maybe some kind of limit of players / salary cap / highest salary / etc.
The poaching seems completely stupid (only level 3, don't know exactly how it works) and the whole system seems to make the rich team always more rich and better. There should be some downside no ?
What is bad when you get a high level team with high $$$ sponsors ? you can do everything i think ? Is there some kind of limit ? Isn't this a bad thing for the "economy" or how a manager game should work ?
I don't really know to be honest, just pointing out some things that look weird/bad for the game. Especially for the long term. Like i said, what are the salaries gonna be in a few weeks/months ? What are new players gonna do with their 2-4 stats players ? Not true, I'm level 2 and have a full 5-6 players under 16 who cost me less than 300$ (which is nothing, stop complaining) with the worst now having a lowest skill of 6.1
You people need to stop expecting great players for cheap, buy crappy low-mid players like everyone else does and work them up.

Not complaining my players that i trained/found are doing good actually but there is still a problem how the system works IMO.
Your worst skill of your worst player is 6.1 ? You clearly represent the average player yeah. Good for you if you found interesting players

It's like complaining you can't get 20-25$ streamers because you're not patient for when they come around.
And to shann, my sponsor bonus is only .5 and my merch is only ~300. I just invested in good players and took a risk which nobody in this thread seems to want to do.

I took a risk hypno, cause I wanted to go bankrupt, but the high priced players I bought ended up winning lols.

Wow, crying has won out. To help noobs get "decent" players we now must blindly buy free agents.
This is a horrible idea; now this really will enable the rich to get richer while poor get poorer. Bid times last 24 hours and the only way to estimate player skill with ? ratings is to bid on high placed free agents. Obviously the rich teams are going to easily see the good players because they are at the top of the list as compared to high salaries in the free agent pool. Compounded by 24 hour auction times mean that now instead of only bidding within your time zone you now bid against all rich teams who have the ability to see the auction before it ends.
Before the issue was people expected something for nothing and wouldn't enter into a risk, now you're taking a massive risk to get a decently placed player because everyone is bidding on the decently placed player and you can't even see if they are a dud or not. Would not be surprised to see some mid to low tier teams go bankrupt as they try to buy seemingly good players and instead receive a 8 vT dud who just got lucky by being matched with Terrans into the SF.

And i get SQL errors all over the place oO

It's way worse now. Like I said yesterday there are certain times a day when its impossible for a normal low level team that doesnt want to go bankrupt (or take that risk) to buy players but there are certain time windows where you can get almost all the FAs that you bid for.
Right now Im going to be screwed pretty soon. Because I was getting none of the FA I wanted, I bid on a ton of them to see if I got lucky that 1 maybe 2 would come to my team...now with the current system Im not going to be outbid in any of them so Im going to end up with a huge team with no prospects of winning enough in the next 2 days to support everyone....
And blindly getting FAs? Bah way worse....
Oh and probably the one complaining about the FA's was me...so its wasnt crying out...I posted once here saying I was mad i told another guy that he needed to find an hour where people werent all on line....so unless you're talking about something else, that doesnt remotely seem like crying.
Also not everyone can play 24/7...and not everyone went the "its just one tournament below my level, if its not me, its someone else that does it" way to have extra cash and a boost to the players.

Yeah I just edited my post with my thoughts on it rather than just calling it gay. You weren't the only person talking about it, I don't remember what was said specifically or who said it but it was said.
Also 200$ does not count as boosting players or getting extra cash. Is 200 really going to save your team or allow you to get that top ace you always wanted?
|
There should be an 'offer you cant refuse' for FA's that make them auto come to your team...for example if someone offered me 500 a day and I was a free agent, I'd take it in a heartbeat
Maybe make some system like that would be AWESOME

I read the thread again and probably wasnt my post I see a few others with worse things...because I wasnt actually crying...I was mad because 5 super good low age kids went away and a ton of mid level too....I tried and eventually got 2 players that would carry my team in the future...not now...and Im going to have an avalanche of players joining my team due to the change in system.
And I wasnt posting against you saying the new system is bad...I was posting pro that...it is bad...its really bad. Theres no money to be made in players "stolen"...theres no fun in scouting because...well you dont scout...
And yeah, that 200 right now would be cool lol...I was 970 yesterday but with all the new players that isnt going to last...Im going to spam tournaments today to see if I can make money to support all this new people.

They should have just restricted bidding on FA to the same or lower team lvls, so if a lvl 2 guy got the first bid of a player only lvl 2,1 and 0 could bid on it.
|
Woho won the silver chobo
So far only 3/14 players i have are playing tournaments, the others train only (till every important skill is above 5) and then i let them start playing
And today 1 player retired with 29 (my best Z)

I can see how that would work but I don't like it. It unfairly punishes higher tier players and would eventually promote poaching.

I think the opposite is true. Rich teams did not look for new free agents, they just bid for them in the last 5 minutes of the auction. Adding uncertainty, hiding the current bids, etc. will decrease prices and allow poorer teams to compete acquisition-wise. Placement is not everything; there will be a lot of hidden gems with low endurance for example. And you were always competing against the rich teams...
There will probably be a way to "scout" players to get a rough estimate of their stats in the future, but it will have tradeoffs...

The good thing about this change is I had about 15 first bids on decent players left and now I might actually get them and sell the ones off I don't like. :>

Im getting all of them T.T I have 16 players right now and 2 more will soon come.... and not even the best of the bunch can win tournaments right away so....
How do you sell them? Market? I dont have access to that yet. I believe I can dismiss them...Im going to check that out to see if it pays off or not! Edit: nope...it doesnt...

So now there's even less scouting and lower ranked players can no longer receive a scouting bonus. High ranked teams don't care about uncertainty, they can afford the salary, it's not a big deal to them. It's for lower tiered players who can't afford to discover they picked up a kid that lucked his way to the finals.
You were not always competing against rich teams under the old system because auction timers were short. Now they are 24 hours you are effectively bidding against everyone rather than a small percentage of players. You can already see the bids made by other players, at least I can.
