Am I doing something wrong with him? O.o Honestly, he's not THAT good. He's pretty bad for semi-pro. Here's one of my players, who's semi-pro, better in pretty mmuch every aspect, but still not doing that good: http://sc2manager.org/viewplayer.php?id=157857

I have been trying to grow my starters up from scratch, but I guess that is not a viable option in this game.

It is viable I have only youngsters with good dedication and they get good pretty fast, don't expect overnight insta gosu it'll take some time but it's worth it for me imo. Hopefully this lvl 4 poaching crap I hear about don't happen to me though I kinda want my players around until they retire..

It is okay, unless you're in semi-pro league. My ace has all 8/8.5+ and I worked him up from the start. Work on macro and micro and spam him in tournaments if he has high creativity.

It is once you hit a level where your sponsors provide you with a huge boost to practice time. Since I hit lvl2 as a team, my guys stats are increasing at a rate of about 1 point/day in each area, provided I change their training priorities at intermittent times during the day. Yay Energy Drinks! The real trick is being patient while they train, rather than spamming them in tournaments prematurely.

With good creativity your new players will increase at an amazing rate if you spam them in tournaments.

Why has so and so happened with my player's ELO? ELO is a relative measure of skill. ELO points are gained and lost on a game by game basis. You win a game, you gain ELO, you lose one, you lose ELO. Simple, right? Apparently there are some people who don't understand that if you win a series 2:1 that the player lost one of the three games. On a sidenote. My player got invited to the "Bring me my golden toilet seat" invitational. Apparently he's one of the highest paid players in the game.

Changes to the poaching system: the team captain is now unpoachable. You can poach any team that is the same or higher level than yours. Only teams level 4+ can be poached. Salary cost slightly increased. So stay at lvl 4 for now if you don't want to be bothered or make your ace captain. ![]()

Well this is only true if you don't depend on the player making money, you can level up to semi pro without winning a single dollar, whereas when you let him train first he might make a few bucks on the way up.

If you're worried about this then give your player a AFK strategy and watch him continuously lose. Either way you'll get better players insanely quickly if you enter tournaments continuously. I had a player raise 1.2 in vP yesterday without having to train him in it. On September 14 2011 06:29 DoomsVille wrote: Even if it sinks their ELO? I got a really young player that has a 6 creativity right now. I was going to just train him up (ded = 8.3) slowly, but I don't mind dropping him into every single tournament if that's going to get him good faster. If you don't care about his ELO now and are instead looking to the future then I would highly suggest entering them in every single tournament, regardless of the chance to win or if his stamina is low. If you want your player to stay in Plastic then give him an AFK strat where you only make econ. His ELO will sky rocket back to normal when you play him properly and you'll make money on his meteoric rise to the top.
