Interview from ThisIsGame.com http://www.thisisgame.com/board/view.php?id=738800&category=13439

Translater notes in [ ]
Huk, Chris Loranger has advanced to round of 16 by winning against TSL Killer twice. Chris Loranger(Chris from now on) advanced to round of 16 of PEPSI GSL season 5 from Ro32 by earning two victories from Killer. Chris advanced to the winners round by winning in stalker battles in first game, but descended to final round losing to ST_Bomber. However, he won his place in 2nd of the group by winning against Killer who won against Violet. [WTF is with all these repetition. TL;DR Huk advanced to the RO16]
You have advanced to the ro16 as 2nd in Group. How do you feel? I wish I came 1st in my group so I don’t have to face Nada. But except for that, I feel good.
You won against Killer twice. Since I wasn’t there for the group selection day, I gave my list of players that I prefer to play against. And Killer was on top part of the list. I think I made the right choice but I think MC said some rough words to Killer as a joke. I am sorry about that [he is sorry about potentially insulting Killer, as Killer was quite upset in the group selection because of what MC said to him]. I think Killer is a very good player.
You could have won in your game against ST_Bomber, do you feel bad that you lost? I won the first fight by using forcefields well, but I went too aggressive instead of being defensive. This cost me the game.
Your unit control was excellent today, do you practice specially for it? I think my unit control is usually good. Many of the foreign players’ control are lacking compared to Koreans but I think I am at least at par with Koreans.
Your next game in Ro16 in NaDa, how will you prepare for it? I need to check my schedule first. I have to go to Germany tomorrow and come back to Korea and leave Korea for IEM. [I know it doesn’t make sense but the Korean sentence is literally like this…] So, I will not be able to practice a lot.
You have a lot on your schedule, isn’t it hard for you?
I had to participate as they are all good tournaments. If there are too many matches at the end of the year , I won’t be able to participate some. But I will always participate in GSL.
What’s your goal for this season? Winning is my goal always but I will be content with Ro4.
Anymore things to say? I’d like to thank Teamliquid.net, Teamliquid.com, Razer, oGs, The little App Factory, family, fan and friends.

He didn't thank EG!!! :p [trollface]

his schedule is so hectic. 3 events that's crazy.

Is it actually 3 events? I thought the korean interview was wrong or something =.=.. too many events

Whats the thing about MC insulting Killer? Anyone know?

Good work getting this up so fast, although I believe there is an error at the end (perhaps not in your translation but in their original translation). It most likely should be thanking teamliquidpro.com after teamliquid.net, rather than teamliquid.net and teamliquid.com
|
It was pretty light trash-talk but it makes sense that he was offended, since the comments are usually very light like "he underestimated me, but he will be surprised!" but MC was just like "Huk picked Killer because he sucks"

I believe that is correct, he just got back from NA invitational, pwned Killer, and hops on a plane to IEM

MC uses the word "easy" alot. Didn't he call MVP "easyman" when he picked him as well? Don't think he is really saying Killer sucks or anything.

Wow, thats quite an impressive schedule. Congrats on beating Killer Huk!

I feels like it was something that got lost in translation in this case.

Hah I know you avoided the spoiler in the title... but it is still painfully obvious. An interview with the second place winner of a group, which just so happens to be the one with the only Code S foreigner in it.
Either way, grats to HuK and thanks for the interview.
|
I knew you could do it HuK! You had 1st place in the bag, which is a shame but still advancing is advancing.
EG FIGHTING!1!111
|
thanks for the translation ^_^
|
Nice interview. Wonder how Huk copes though with so much travelling all over.
|
HuK's hairstyle is so beast!
TY for translations.
|
The unit control question really made me smile. Any chance they're aware of the whole top-3 control thing?
|
Since Huk advanced further than MC, does that mean MC will be the one carrying bags?
|

MC knows atleast. He made fun of it when he was commenting HuKs match in some tournament.
|
It would be sad to see him not goto MLG, but that would mean he is rocking the GSL to Ro8. (MLG is a couple days after Ro16).
Congrats, impressive play today.

Any chance you can translate the interview with the actual group winner if there is one?
|
What, was this already aired? I thought it went live 18.10?
|
Thanks for posting the interview, nice to see Huk still knows he's top 3 control!
|
teamliquid.com ? is a blocked domain name when i try it ??
Edit; Good win today Huk & Goodluck against Nada

Done. Thx for pointing it out!

Even the best players have fallen prey to a hectic schedule and sleep-deprived performances.
That Huk can beat a Code S Protoss like Killer twice in this condition is truly a testament to his growth.
And he might have missed qualifying for Blizzcon (narrowly), but that was a good performance as well.
Your unit control was excellent today, do you practice specially for it? I think my unit control is usually good. Many of the foreign players’ control are lacking compared to Koreans but I think I am at least at par with Koreans. Oh Huk, you know how to charm the Korean fans!

Great interview, HuK fightingg

Wait, HuK is going to MLG right?

I miss all the translated interviews Phosgene used to do =/
What happened to them btw?
(Thanks for this interview also)

PlayXP stopped doing interviews. Thus Phosgene became free.

So mannered. Nice gesture to apologize what MC said. (don't really know what it was though, but still)
Thanks for the interview & Translation. Great to see these still.
|
GJ Huk, I'm impressed how you manage to fly all over the world and still play so good. Keep it going, GL at IEM!!
|
I guess this is his last interview as a member of Liquid. Unfortunately for him, he may likely get rolled by NaDa.
|
I guess that is the last picture of Liquid`HuK.

Second this. I'm a little bit of a fan of the guy who came in first, so a translation of that interview would be awesome, if there is one!
Oh, and thanks for the ... EGHuK interview. *tears*
|
His last win as Liquid'Huk.
|
Last match for him in a TL uniform. This translation is just too sad for me to read.
|
Sadly, if he loses against NaDa we'll have at least a hundred people going "Karma's a bitch, ain't it?" despite him departing on friendly terms.
|
thanks for translation exhausting schedule....
|
Great interviews, thanks!
|
The last of liquid`Huk

(Thanks for this interview also) PlayXP stopped doing interviews. Thus Phosgene became free. Pretty sure that TIG interviews are not allowed to be translated and put on TL. If someone has a post regarding otherwise I'd be glad to see it, but from what I remember TiG doesn't want their stuff put on external sites.

His departure makes sense rationally, EG is apparently paying him "substantially" more than TL could.
But none of that helps with the emotional pull we all feel. TL's first and foremost goal is to treat their players excellently, and on some level switching teams seems like disrespect. Nothing against the man, his successes have earned him a solid payday, I hope he continues to do well. But in my heart I'm sad he won't be part of the team we all love so much.
So if NaDa ends up knocking him out....maybe a little bit of Karma was involved. :p
