Has been approached by the idea of mass producing Starcraft Trading Cards of all your favourite Stars like Drewbie (The Cookie Monster) Idra (The Gracken) and D'Apollo (Sun God)

sounds like the target costumer (younger children) wont know who these players are.. probable would be better off making a deck with the units in the game, altough i guess that would mean big license money

If it was a good game, and the rules were great etc, I'd probably look at it initially. I enjoy CCGs, so assuming it was produced as such I'd definately try and get into it (we have a good CCG scene here).
If it was just trading cards, then no.

Ra is the egyptian sun god, Apollo is the greek one. They should just merge to form the ultimate progaming-casting sun god archon, that would fix things.

How would you play with progamers? The rules would probably be ridiculously random unless you made it like Magic, with Att/Def modifiers, but even then it wouldn't make sense.

Honestly, while at first it's kind of an interesting idea, I really doubt they'd be anything but a collector's product, and I don't even know how well that'd go down. Emotionally I love the idea, but realisitcally I'd never use them and thus would never buy them.

I thought you meant having the different units as cards, then having upgrades as enchantments a la M:TG. Shame. I wouldn't buy this version at all, though.

If this is a Starcraft 2 card game then Jaedong can't be an option, unless you are merging BW and SC2 somehow?

Only thing I'd ever buy them for to use them for Tokens in MTG games. Right now I use Star Wars CCG cards ^_^
