The faces of the players, though, is a really nice touch I think most tournaments should use.
It's only for a few seconds. Never a massive time of watching first person cam. It's really cool. I suggest you go watch some BW vods to check it out

And the MLG staff! :D
First Person View would be amazing.. ^^ If a player is streaming while he is playing a tournament I prefere to watch his stream instead of the 'main stream'. :D So yes please! ^^
After watching some BW fpvod's, I would love to have for sc2 tourneys. It would be sick if we could see Nestea's control with his mouse during tense moments. It would have to be true fpvod, not that ingame replay bs -_-

Because you cant see their mouse cursor etc watching battles or micro from the first person perspective, it LOOKS no different aside from a less predictable and shaky camera view that would probably be more confusing than impressive to a casual viewer.
EDIT: I think over the shoulder camera angles from time to time, however, would be awesome!
no, this means they'd be outputting the players' screens themselves, not simply switching the "views" while in observer mode.
i think it'd be a great idea, bw broadcasts don't nearly do enough of it these days.
I haven't seen a lot of SCBW but I'm pretty sure I've seen the camera show the player's screen with mouse cursor and all. It wouldn't be any different than watching your favorite pros stream their games. I'm pretty sure even the casual viewer can appreciate seeing first hand what the pro is doing with his mouse..
They could... have 3... one for main while the other two would be the two players... for people who want to see it via FPVOD and those with multiple monitors...
Well that is like the best thing ever just put a camera behind the player so you can see his keyboard mouse + screen and this will be more watched than the actual cast wonder who is finally gonna realize and do that watching auto camera on replay isn't the same thing watching MC playing would be priceless

Yes, MBCGame studio has 3 screens each for the FP view of the players. I believe it streams the desktop itself and anything running in it. Because before the games, you can see players toggle with window's settings
YES YES AND YES! i've been saying this ever since the game came out. we need more FP View other than streams. it's the most interesting stuff ever. we want the FP View to be exactly what the progamer views on his screen

Yes; this is one of the things that GSL has always been missing. That and player reactions make the GSL a very different experience from watching BW. I'd go for all of these things.
We need actual first person though, not what blizzard has implemented, rather what they had in BW where you could actually see the cursor. It would be interesting if they had cameras set up next to the keyboard, that way we could see the incrediible handspeed. That would be a dream come true for me : )
Yeah I think that some tournaments will start to switch to a first person camera view during specific times in games. I also would like to see some form of instant replay, maybe IPL will implement that since they cast replays anyway.
The only way to have "true" FPPOV is to have the players comp have 2 cloned outputs, one to the players comp, one to wherever they want to broadcast it. Otherwise you just see where the player is looking and his current selection(highlighted)
