After all, it's not good for players to not be in tip-top shape when every match in the GSL is much more important for them.

Why was the NASL situation so different for the Koreans compared to the tons of other international tournaments that they've been participating in? It is not as if they have left or are leaving all foreign/global tournaments en masse, just this one, the NASL, why? NASL does offer a very sizable prize pool, but yet the Korean teams are strongly opposed to the league, why? What is the actual/accurate reason for the differing treatment given towards the NASL? Hopefully SC2Con, Mr Chae or a Korean insider will give us a clear formal response. While there are some who enjoy watching home grown/local progamers duke out for a title, without being overrun by an external/dominant force (koreans). There are many as well who view the progamers as individuals or even representatives of their races(TPZ), not view each match as country v country, but rather player v player/race v race. We want to watch the best Starcraft II games especially given the prize pools. A tournament prestige and starpower comes from its prize pool, production and most importantly its players. You can not call a tournament, a top-tier/premier tournament if you have a very significant section of the top players not even competing. While I may still watch some of the games (for some players) or part of the finals, I know that a large part of the tournament hype/competition has died given the drastically lowered playing field from before, it is an unavoidable feeling. All in all , this has been a lose-lose situation for almost everyone involved, fans, tournament organizers, players, sponsors ... ): The reason is because the organization and management of Season 1 was poor and the Koreans got a very raw deal. They didn't even try to give the Koreans a relatively even playing field. That's the problem the Koreans have with NASL vs the other tournaments. It's a much longer commitment, 3 months vs several days, on top of which, they were playing in what amounted to a stacked tourney having the worst latency as well as by FAR the worst scheduled play times the entire season. They viewed the potential compensation for R/O16 was not worth that headache and I honestly can't blame them. They still should have chose a better way of responding rather than with contract shenanigans. They spent a lot of money but on top of that, BoxeR did not leave NASL with a very good taste in his mouth after dealing with 3 months of crap scheduling only to play on bad latency and having it negatively affect the team's other commitments and practice. The Koreans are not alone in their view of NASL. Naniwa was pretty outspoken about that as well and Thorzain also withdrew. They're both in Korea now.

Public transportation, food, and personal shopping is all on SlayerS' side. Which is a fair deal, as having more than that seems a little too much.

$2000 is not enough to cover travel, hotel, food, travel time, and the risk of negative effects on performance in GSL that almost always occur after koreans have to travel to foreign tournaments. Foreign tournaments like MLG are unique and can afford to offer less because they have a direct link to GSL. An easier path to Code S for korean players makes it worthwhile for them to pay out of their own pockets to come over. NASL needs to wake up and make sure Koreans are part of their tournament or they around bound to lose considerable viewership and interest.

No, I believe the team had several members covered by Razer but Ganzi and Alicia had to pay for themselves/had the team pay for them. I don't think they were part of the exchange program for MLG Anaheim.

So from the period in which they were signed (July 25-26), it took TEN days for Mr.Chae (not even a person from SC2Con) to tell me that the Korean players had issues. After I responded, it took another FIVE days (August 9th) for Mr.Chae to notify the NASL that Koreans would not play in Season 2.
