Thanks bro, I have been wanting to switch to terran and this is a great start to getting the jist of each matchup. Thumbs up. I do pull it up on my second monitor to avoid these accusations of overlays being cheating, but still just as useful.

Where as I think the program is pretty cool and seems to have a fair amount of potential, I don't think it will actually make you actually better. You may be able to see your build order right on the screen and be able to follow it step by step, but that's not going to encourage you to memorize your builds. I'm a firm believer that writing things down helps you to remember them, so I won't be using this program. However, I am sure there are many people who will benefit from having it.

… not keen on the overlay aspect, but I'm not the one who's going to be using it ;D

I like it, but I would also like an option to remove the overlay once the build is over. A simple rightclick on it would do the trick imo.

Left click then right click on the overlay while in game to remove it. Works for me.

You sure you have locked the overlay? Right click works if it isn't locked, but if it is, nothing works. =(

Aww...

But I like to use pen and paper! I'm feeling old school. Great utility tool! I will use this a lot.

I think this is fine for practice games, but if you're doing it on the ladder, I think it's cheating. I don't think it matters if you use notepad, an overlay, or tape a piece of paper to your monitor, it would still be technically cheating. The only difference is
with an overlay, you break the TOS and risk getting your account banned.

Which is a shame because I think it would be an amazingly awesome tool for practicing.

Can you please back up this statement, I find it difficult to believe without proof, i.e. quote the relevant part of the TOS which forbids this.

WoW this is really good for people who just switch to protoss/terran, I always have to pause and look at the build.

wow, must say that this is quite awesome. In fact I feel it's kind of too awesome, I would feel like I'm cheating using this :p.

(Some say that this actually is cheating, meanwhile I don't think you would get banned for this I have to agree to an extent. I feel it's kind of similar as it was to have addons in WoW helping you in arena, they where allowed and could help you a lot, but they weren't allowed in E-sports, so those who where serious often played without to many addons.)

I request that in-game times be added as well so we know the timings for these build orders.
You should not have to pay to watch the GSL, Proleague, or OSL at a reasonable time. That is not "fine" and it's BS to say otherwise. My sig since 2011. http://www.youtube.com/user/dabom88

The builds are completly editable, you can edit the time into any of them. To find out the correct timings, look at liquipedia or something.

Nice tool for anybody who might need it. As for myself I wont be using it, I dont even look at the screen messages as it is and will most likely have a very hard time remembering those numbers.

Really nice work, but it sure seems alot like YABOT to me.

Edit: Of course you can't use YABOT on ladder...

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

Would be awesome for just practicing your macro and getting used to using different builds.

I can replace the little pieces of papers on my desktop now :D

i LIKE IT. very useful to keep track of the build orders.
Now practising a build i notice that if i join a custom game, changing screens i loose track of the game.
Say i am with a zerg. While the Sc2 screen is loading i need to alt-tab to the notebook and choose the proper build.
I think IF you could add a button so while SC2 is full screen, not window, so i can choose the build order i want (with out Alt-Tab) i could help me, alot.
Great work
