New Version: SC2 Scrapbook -------- Hey TL,
I've been a long time lurker and thought I'd share a little tool I made for personal use. Some may find it useful, most probably wont.
It is a utility to allow you to store and search through build orders by race, matchup and description.

It also allows you show your build in a customizable overlay over your SC2 window.

DownloadRequires .NET Framework 3.5. If anyone is interested in the source, just ask
Question: if i want to enter my own build, do i just manually type the build order?

Nice. Downloading right now. I can at last remember to use those TvP Ghost pushes. Now all I have to do is remember to use this...

Looks good. Though i play Z so i won't need it. Btw is really "14pool15hatch" build : 9ovi, 14pool, 16hatch XD

overlay = cheating imo
|
Nice work dude, thanks for sharing.

I was just thinking the same thing. Is this not against ToS? I'm not entirely sure because people with dual screen setups (like myself) can just put up build orders on 2nd screen. Still a cool application but personally not going to use it ^^
|
I could use this quite a bit. Thanks for posting dude.
Edit: For learning. Ofcourse.
|
As long as overlay doesn't dig data from the game or you don't change the game, it's ok. There is no difference from notebook on the desk or dual screen.

its just the same as having it wrote down and stuck on your monitor, which am sure a lot people do anyway.

Looks cool, tho it seems somewhat of 'cheating' with an overlay while ur playing, but at the same time when i say that, not much difference with it when you just have a note next to ur keyboard with the BO. cool tool nevertheless
edit: oh and at the FFE it says nexus at 14? isnt it smth like 16/17? otherwise you cut probes way to much
|
Ofcourse it's not cheating :p. You are just seeing the build that will normally be in your head.
I think he made it probably with the intention of learning the build faster and I think that is a great way to do it.
I'm wondering where the utility got his builds from ? I saw that when I downloaded it there were like 20 builds already and there was this button called Update.
Is this program connected to something so it will get builds off of something ?

I can have a big whiteboard next to me. This will only help you get up and going, it will not help you THAT much. And for bronze/silver/gold, this is good for the whole community, to increase the overall skill level. We want as much SC2 growth as we can have.
Great work with this, I play zerg, but might off race with terran/protoss a bit more.

Nice tool, thank you for sharing this

big difference between having a little sticky note on your monitor or a gigantic piece of paper stuck on, than an overlay that is directly within the monitor. It's not the same thing, so stop saying that it is. Also, can someone check if this is against blizzard rules? i love the tool but I believe it is against the user agreement.

Thanks a lot for this, its helping me get my build nice and crispy. mmmmmmmmm..........
