I cant believe it.

6 Maps i dont want to play
6 Maps, which arent used in Cups

3Vetos

3/7 Chance of getting one of the non-cup maps.

Why should i play ladder, when i cant get training for the things really matter (Tournament/Cups).

Its nice for all casual gamer, but i dont think its good for the Pro-Am szene.

Im thinking about, to totally stop ladder, and just play custom games..

These "Not the Blizzard Ladder" Also seems interesting.

I dont get the point, why i should play maps like this.

Blizzard failed in my opinion.

1v1 maps don't look like improvements at all

I don't get the bitching about the new maps. Granted Searing Crater is a terrible map but the other three are comparable in size to the GSL maps. The smallest rush distance on any of the maps is Netherim Crypts close positions and that's 25 seconds which is comparable to close air positions on Metalopolis. Close positions on Antiga and Abyssal is 30 seconds which is the same as close positions on Tal'Darim and Terminus SE. Cross positions on both maps is 40 seconds again the same as Tal'Darim and Terminus. Keep in mind these times are a worker going from the entrance of one Natural to the entrance of the other Natural. The Naturals are also easily defended compared to say Metal and Xel'Naga Caverns. It's like people just read the description of what blizzard said about the maps and decided they didn't like them without even trying them out.

Taking metalopolis out seems a bad decision. It would be better to let it in and fix it on the background, because it's one of the best maps in the ladder currently.
Also, I would love seeing more GSL maps, as they're the ones being really put to the max by the pros.

Mixed feelings about Lag Pits. That map was always a fps killer for me but I really liked the design.

temple close positions are just as bad as metalopolis

and meta is the much better map overall. why the hell isnt blizzard talking with the pros as tournaments do. tournaments have accomplished a balanced map pool for every race and blizzard cant. thats just wrong.

Maps I have thumbed down:

Searing Crater
Nerazim Crypt
Backwater Gulch


but I am highly tempted to give another chance to Nerazim Crypt and instead thumbs down Xel'Naga...

Nerazim crypt would be good if they only allowed cross spawns. They should just make it into a 2player style map. Sigh.

where are all the relevant maps like xelnaga fortress, terminus re, crevasse, crossfire or belshir beach ?

i loved the inclusions of taldarim altar but really i want more gsl maps

it's funny how they say they want a map pool with a lot of variety, yet there are 6 "small" maps 3 "medium" maps and 1 "large" map in the pool, lol.

im personally really excited about the new ladder maps and on first glance i won't be vetoing any of them. Nothing really stands to my attention as a terrible map design like scrap station or DQ did. Meta gone is not my fav decision but the right one weve been playing it over a year now it was time to move on to better things, maybe we will see a "shattered" remix of it or something.

The new mappool is online for a few hours and yet so many people whine about the new maps already. You should try them out for at least a few days before you judge them. I for one vetoed some of the more common maps and will give every new map a fair chance for one week.

Cannot understand removing Metalopolis. Surely they can just make it not spawn close positions? It's pretty much the best map there is in ladder in my opinion. Always relieved to random that in ladder. Lé Sigh.
