Abysaal caverns - not a huge fan of this map i actually really dislike it and i guess i will have to play half map vs t and z to win :\ if you spawn same side in pvz its impossible to get a 3rd, and it would be impossible to snipe or put pressure on their 3rd as they can run right to your base.. i really dont like how it plays as it feels like it has 2 lanes and your forced to go down 1 or the other.. i can see alot of 2 base all ins on this map and the only really good spawns would be cross pos. nerazim crypt pvz will be a nightmare on this map, its SO wide that if you push out your basically asking to be surrounded by lings.. getting a gold as a 3rd is pretty good also however i cant see how i would push z. Pvt again will be very hard, tanks on high grounds, bushes outside your base are all just asking to be abused by t :\ really dont like it. Antiga shipyard played it once in pvp seems insanely small with lots of ramps, can see this being protoss biased but i need to play more to see :x seering - once again in pvp, very rampy and no comments on it | ||

How about this: Fuck the GSL maps. Seriously, if you're not on a team and playing tournaments, who cares if you play on them? Because it makes you "cool" to play on the maps "that the pros play"? Give the new maps a chance. Some of them are actually fun--I particularly like Abyssal Caverns. Getting a third will be easy, just which expansion you get will change due to spawn positions. And Metalopolis was only considered good because it was the least shitty map to make it out of the beta. | ||

Also, I love how they said they are adressing the close positions issue. This is needed. From my PTR experience the new maps are not bad at all I think I won't veto anything for a while until I see how stuff works. Edit: Oh yeah and Delta Quadrant is gone, that one needed to leave. I didn't mind scrap station that much unless it was a PvP but meh it was also a pretty old map. | ||
