I don't know what's the issue with maps. I don't veto any maps, if I think the map sucks, I try something new on it, or cheese, or all-in or whatever.

EDIT- it's not even a week old and people are whining. Learn to adapt, learn to win, find new ways, be creative.

The aesthetics of all the new maps are terrible....... Wish they would add some god damn scenery instead of god damn rocks

hopefully blizzard reads this post, and puts meta back. No matter what the spawns were, i nearly always won. (dont complain about this map, i suck on Shattered) I never thought they would take meta out

Abyssal Caverns has a beautiful tileset imo. I guess they could place some more doodads but that's not a big deal.

Are you kidding me? Backwater Gulch got put forward over Metalopolis? Blizzard's logic is so retarded. Casual players don't care about the maps and hardcore players want to see Metalopolis...

just got first actual game on one of the new maps, nerazim, didn't seem too bad pvz

edit - number of watchtowers is somewhat excessive

To streamline the complaining process, I've developed the following template for all complaints:

I can't believe Blizzard put <Blizzard map> into the map pool! It is so biased against <race you play> because of fundamental flaws such as <too big/not big enough/too many chokes/too much open space/too close of rush distances/too long of rush distances/too many ramps/not enough ramps/third base too hard to take/third base too easy to take/color of map is all wrong>. Instead of fixing these glaring fundamental flaws that even my <grandmother/grandfather/pet/newborn baby> can see, Blizzard tries to fix maps with gimmicks such as <Xel Naga watch towers/High Grass or smoke/Destructible Rocks/Gold Minerals/Random jab at World of Warcraft> Even <Blizzard map that used to be in the map pool that just a week ago you said was the worst map of all time> was better than this!

<GSL map/iCCup map> is clearly a superior map due to <opposite of whatever fundamental flaws you selected above>. <irrelevant race bashing comment, preferably with elitist attitude and posting of your rating and league>.

Well it seems they took out Metalopolis because their numbers showed it to be imbalanced. I dont see how anyone cold argue with that, it seems to be a decision of reason.

I've rapidly browsed through this thread and couldn't find actual maps review... Is this only another QQ fest with no pertinent discussion?

I'd really like to have some good player's opinions on the new maps.

the more of the turny maps I get to play on the more I'm connected to those games. So yes it's frustrating.... this isn't bw where play whatever map I want for most people ladder is the way to go.

I'm glad they got rid of Metalopolis. In TvZ, it was either free win in close spawns, or a really hard game in cross spots/close by air.

Ever since zergs started doing more counter attacks and run bys, Ive had trouble on metalopolis. Im glad its gone.
Hell, its awesome to LOSE to nukes!
