I can't help but notice that all the Zerg players are completely shocked and outraged that they are removing a ridiculously Zerg favored map.. You kids have it so rough.. Really I feel for you..

I'm SO glad they remove slag pits and fucking crap station.
I won't be able to play on new ladder until a couple of days... But I'm so excited!
EDIT: Too bad they didn't remove TD altar ^^ I know lots of people like it but I hate it, I don't like when mains have too much space.

If they would swap the locations of Metalopolis and Backwater Gulch everything would be great.

Srsly, WHY would they remove Metal? Was there any real reason to remove it? Gameplay-wise it's great, the only reason Blizz might have for removing it might be that's it's been there from the beginning and want a bit of new refreshing maps. But they're keeping XNC, so that arguments fails... and I can't see any good reason for taking away the best map in the ladder pool.

Wish Blizz would just use the GSL map pool for their ladder 1v1 map pool. Noone would complain, but 99% of the community would love it.

even though some people don't like Scrap Station, i think its quite a cool map that allows for some funky strats. still blizzard needs to use more community made maps instead of shoving their own maps down our throats

I won't miss Metal at all, because:

- Close-positions were bascially unwinnable against T or P
- Close-Air was still very strong for Terran
- We've been playing this Map since SC2-Beta - enough is enough, even if it's considered a more balanced Map.

Not that it matters for 1v1 but I am happy that they added 2 more maps with (8) for 2v2 play.(good fun with friends.

This is at highest level of play. I'm assuming Blizzards highest level of play is below the highest level of play? Also what's up with blizzards love for rocks and 4 player maps?

Backwater is NOT bad for protoss, imo. There's so many easy places to wall off in that map.

Metal is older than XNC. XNC was added to the ladder pool near the end of the beta, and everyone hated it and loved that big macro map....Delta Quadrant.

Wish Blizz would just use the GSL map pool for their ladder 1v1 map pool. Noone would complain, but 99% of the community would love it.


99% of the Team Liquid community, maybe.

Well, I think I'm one of the few who really like the pool changes, as many have said, even though Metalopolis is a cool and mostly balanced map, it's quite old and close positions feel so dumb, since Blizzard refuses to just disabling those we were stuck with some awkward matches.

Scrap station, Slag Pits and Delta Quadrant were an obvious choice really, nicely done.

It'd be cool to see the triumphant return of Metalopolis on season 4, with some cool changes just like Shakuras and Lost Temple, just avoid rocks Blizz, I know you guys have some kind of rock fetish but please don't...

On a different topic, is it just me or one of the new maps looks kind of like a 4p (Blizzard) version of Xel'Naga Fortress?

TT Meta was a much better map than typhoon or backwater gulch :S hope the new maps will be nice to play!

Why does Blizzard think that the ladder is the Highest level of play?... They should look at tournament results for that, and I don't think Metalo was imbalanced in those, even without the close positions.

So sad that they decided to remove meta.... and happy they removed that horrible delta quadrant
but why did they keep maps like Typhon peaks and backwater?? At the same time i'm looking forward to the new maps blizzard has added. I'll definitely check them out.

I find it ok that they removed meta. I find the close pos thing was ridiculous same on shattered temple. but why no gsl map? I find xelnaga is very old. we need only big 4 player maps!
