God forbid you are accountable for what you say...
Maybe in the States, some people wouldn't understand another culture or their laws, but it doesn't mean you can pass it off just because it doesn't mold to your ideas of the norm...
Maybe many people don't agree with the decision that was made by SlayerS to recruit Eve, but as an independent idea, does Eve deserve the haters she is getting because of that? I think she doesn't.

Every single person in the world that is famous has haters, almost all of it is irrational and unfair. It's part of the job. If movie stars went on rampages trying to have tabloid writers arrested and going on huge campaigns every time someone flamed them, they wouldn't have time to do anything else.
This comes with the territory. I guarantee you someone like Husky has gotten a LOT more hate than this girl, and what does he do? He just completely ignores it and keeps doing his thing.

Since I am Korean, I can say that respect and honor is one of the most important aspects of Korean culture.

I think KKY is taking things too far. I can understand she's a bit upset about this but honestly, she can definitely use this opportunity to prove people wrong about Eve. You can't call teh "cyber police" on the interwebz for trolling, that's what interwebz do *cough jessieaslaughter and 4chan incident*. And can KKY really blame people for saying the things they are saying about Eve? Obviously, that picture post of people's responses on DC is merely a bluff. Whatever people said about Eve, it's kind of expected and that's what she should've prepared herself before announcing the new member. Possibly with more thought because KKY is now known for overreacting which I hate to see since she had such a respectable name in the sc2 community. :T

I don't understand what the debate is here, obviously if there are laws they aren't there just to hurt people that made her angry and this evidence she has provided will be judged based on severity. I don't give a damn if she wants to write down all the people because if you didn't do anything wrong then it shouldn't matter.
Personally identification on the internet seems weird but bullying online has become rampant. I mean if you just look at some of the things that have happened on 4chan and other loosely regulated sites it is pretty outraging. There has been so much crap with naked pictures getting out to everyone someone knows, people sending parents pictures of their dead children, and just some of the most life-ruining things you could imagine. I mean I don't necessarily trust that all the allegations would be sorted accurately but I am glad they get some attention for the most serious.

Lol how does her being trapped in gold mean nothing? If she can only get into gold through her placement matches, that's pretty terribad.
You guys have to remember people aren't ragging on her 'cause she's a girl, they're ragging on her because she's a diamond player in one of the best competitive Starcraft 2 teams in the world. If this was a guy, people would be saying the same thing.
The fact that she's a girl just makes the recruitment more suspicious. This thread also wouldn't exist if it was a guy, because the only reason people care she's getting internet-trolled is because she's a girl. If you go 5-0 in your placement matches and the ladder puts you into gold and the ladder is locked, how does that mean anything? If any western pro goes on the korean ladder right now, and happens to face 5 really bad players for their placement matches and ends up only placing in gold, would you say they are terrible too for something out of their control?
slayerseve has been playing sc2 over 6 months, which is way way way before the ladder lock so you can't use that example. Also, the YMBC league eve has placed 1st on, her final opponent was a silver league... and you won't say she is up to par, nor has potential after watching the replays of the games played for that competition...

No, but if some player we've never heard of who is currently in gold gets picked up by a pro team, I would be rather surprised. Eve didn't go to Korea and have to start over from Grand Master, the ladder hasn't been locked for more than a few weeks at most to my knowledge, so at the time of recruitment she was around where she is now in terms of the League. Lol, I'm not even a Masters player, just high diamond, and I have never, ever been placed in Gold. I don't know of anyone that's gone 5-0 and placed in Gold. It's besides the point anyway, she was in Diamond last season. Diamond is like being Bronze at the progamer level. Top Diamond on Korea is high masters NA/EU. has boxer ever disappointed anyone in who he picks in his team? Imagine she is going to boss when she starts practicing with these korean pros like MMA and alicia. How's Legalmind doing lately?
It's not like she's a total dark horse, as said, her tourney results tell a bit of the story right there. I'd be really glad if she took someone out in GSTL just to show she deserves her place, but I don't see it happening :<

you're saying i dodged hundreds of lawsuits when i stayed in Korea ?

First want mention the people going OMFG Korean Diamond is sooo much better NA servers. Umm no, our diamond players can be shitty as well. Also by that logic wouldn't masters or grandmasters be a much better choice since they would so much better?
Also interesting the Jessica decided to say Haeun_Cielu didn't try to clarify the situation with her. She blocked him so I don't see how that would have been possible. In addition Haeun_Cielu tweeted to Cella about the situation and Cella was very neutral about it here and he didn't recieve much information.
Weird thing is that Haeun_Cielu deleted all of his twitter posts relating to his frustration sadness, annoyance and overall comments on the entire situation (possibly hate tweets) so it's kind of shifty in my opinion.
Best thing to do now is just wait and see what happens really. All this speculah is pretty much getting redundant and we are just devolving into a flame fest here.

seriously you are all speculating about her skill level. cant you just drop this if you dont have credible sources like link to her b.net account?

Can we not get into this culture battle? Every ethnicity is unique and honestly, if the Koreans do this that way, then it really is up to them. But everyone should be held accountable for their words or actions.
