Keep the mindless hate from this thread. A well argued post is fine, frothing-at-the-mouth hate is not.

- The audio problems are simply inexcusable. It took 7 hours to fix it (not counting the 2 hours delay). - The delay between matches could easily be reduced. Invest in two extra booths and you could have the players set up in advance before they have play (GSL style), or introduces the players before you play your intro videos. That way you could have double the games in half the time. If you still want a long three day event this is the perfect opportunity to change the format of the tournament. Either BO5 or double elimination would be much better imo. - The map choices were really weird. What is wrong with giving the players a chance to down vote a map they don't want to play on, and just select the rest randomly? And think about your audience please, I kinda had enough of Xel'Naga Caverns and Crossfire when we reached the final series. - I don't get why you would "reward" the number 1 seeded player with a match up with the open tournament winner. Sure it could work if you somehow managed to invite the 50 best players in the world, but you really didn't, and how could you invite the 50 players that would be considered the best a season in advance. So assuming the open tournament winner would be the easiest player in the finals is just plain stupid imo. - What is wrong with announcing why the event is delayed, what you are doing to fix it, and when you expect to be able to start? Instead of having the 50000 people sitting without no clue about what was going on for two hours? I am haven't brought your product, but I am a long time customer of GOMTV. I really pity the people you have "tricked" into buying a season ticket, because you are not delivering a good product atm. Do yourself a favour and consider MLG's approach (Free HD stream for the rest of the event, and a free season 2 ticket for the people who brought the season 1 ticket). I get that this is all new to you, but that is not a valid excuse when you charge people for it.

Everyone makes mistakes, but I hope they don't do it twice.... Of course you can still fault them. It's just a matter of getting it right now. Luckily the tournament is spread over 3 days, and they have an excellent chance to make up for day 1 with day2/3.

If you don't like it don't watch it, or maybe you enjoy it now and watch as it improves. Rome wasn't built in a day. Lower their expectations? With a tournament that sports a $100 000 prize pool? Are you serious? I paid for the HD-pass. I paid to watch a tournament that was set to start at 8pm CEST, and have the last, and most worth while match to watch, start at 4am CEST. Now, tell me, please, why on earth I should be satisfied with this when they manage to pull the last match through 4 hours after it was originally set to start?

Some people just have that Hate gene somewhere inside of them, and feel it is their duty to freak out and start yelling obscenities at NASL for every mistake they make Others see the mistakes, and are upset by it, still cry a little about it, but move on with the game, and try to enjoy the matches. The difference between these two people is basically CAPS LOCK for their entire post. NASL did not have a perfect stream at all yesterday, and I understand why some people will be upset about it, but some posters did act as if there life would soon end due to the sound quality, or the delays during some games. EDIT: On July 10 2011 02:17 Barolt wrote: You mean the reasonable criticism from paying customers being given to NASL which could've been prevented by having someone actually doing PR? No, this is not what he was talking about. He asked about the mindless hate, not the reasonable criticism. There was a lot of both in the LR from yesterday. One of them helps NASL improve, the other one makes people sound like ungrateful douche bags. There is a big difference.

People are so used to the GSL and Dreamhack that they expect the exact same production values. NASL fixed their glitches faster than MLG Dallas. At any rate, I think NASL does have a future and I'm really enjoying these games, especially Zenio v Sen! Also, I like the fact that they've started addressing their streaming problems. I used to get stutters in video a lot more often.

However, boredom plus the anonymity of the internet never ends well. I can come up with tons of solutions myself for how they could've filled the time, however. Put on an impromptu incontrol vs gretorp showmatch, or plott vs. plott. Any of these things would've entertained the audience, and kept down the anger and annoyance. Or even just a rescheduling of events indicating a start time, so people could move on to other things.

What did people do during all the downtimes? Was the event fun to attend? Had a friend who attended. He said it wasn't bad, was cool to see some of the people in person. However, he went home to watch the last set of games on his computer, because he had nothing to do during the downtime at the venue. At home he could at least play games during downtime.

They told us how great the live event would be and... that fell through too, with tons of amateurish mistakes. Terrible way to spend $25
