We will hear nothing from them and then suddenly it will be fixed. They care. They invested $100 million in development into this game (supposedly) and have $300 million in revenue and 2 expansions on the way. I guarantee you they are working over the weekend on it. At least that's my optimistic hope!

That's an interesting statement that has nothing to do with what's being discussed. Anyway, I'm betting Blizzard employees would rather spend quality time with their family over the week-end or holidays than working every single day. Just because they love their job doesn't mean they want their life to be just that.

At least that's my optimistic hope! Look at the GM ladder. NowGtTheFkUp has been there a very long time. I refuse to believe that there is something preventing them from removing his account. I just don't understand. Every minute that guy is on the top of the ladder, its another shame to our community ![]()

blizzard revenue went up by 44.99 British Pounds because I got so sick of NA ladder that I bought an EU account seriously, out of the last 13 games i've played on NA ladder, I've been dropped 7 of them. I would be 2k Master if it wasn't for that dumbass shit. i heard one guy turned all his settings to low and attack moved his workers and alt-tabbed and ended up winning somehow.. but apparently they are just cannoning themselves in now before they turn on the laghack... another time, this guy tried to 2rax me with marines against my stalkers... he then proceeded to turn the hack on and off while he tried to "outmicro" me with his marines.. then, after i fucking raped him, he turned on the hack again and disconnected me... i really hope that one day they will look back on this day and be like... "hey, remember that time we destroyed the NA ladder with that cool program, yeah.. that was fun" and then come to the sad fucking realization that they wasted so many hours of their time dropping random strangers to get to rank 1, only to notice that the community didn't give 2 fucks 2 weeks later or even know who it was that did it. i mean hey, if they were to be bold enough to post their real identities, with pictures and everything, we might even be able to immortalize them with some sort of webpage about how great these assholes are before we burn their house down. but since we will never really know who these tards are, and there are so many aliases that we can't really say "oh yeah, that was "THIS" guy".. any semblance of remembering who these guys were just went down the drain... gl hf

How does it have nothing to do with what's being discussed when he is referring to people staying over the weekend to work on the issue that's being discussed? Besides that, there are plenty of people who like to work holidays for the extra money. Edit: As a side note, I remember something like this in the beta or maybe it was early release... Really frustrating to lose to this and kinda sad for the people that actually use it. What sense of accomplishment do you get from cheating your way to the top? There is no gain except ladder points and being in a higher league. However, what does that matter when you are most likely very outclassed, to the point that if you decided to actually play a game you would be dominated repeatedly to the point of depression.

A lot of the joy comes from the fact that there's a person on the other end that you're screwing with. It's the same reason people play jokes on April Fool's Day, troll on forums, etc.

I've had 4 people drophack me since yesterday.

If the lag hack being used is in principal/concept similar to a prototype I made as a concept evaluation, it will create a large amount of control delay for the lag hack user proportional to the lag invoked, but no extra control delay for the victim of the "hack" (it's not really a hack if this is what it does btw...) Therefore, if you are super serious about keeping your points, it would be true for the duration of the hack that the opponent will have a sorely difficult time controlling units and doing things in a timely fashion, whereas you will basically be able to play perfectly since the game is moving so slowly. Of course if you are actually getting insane control delay too and not just a game slowdown type lag... then I'm not sure exactly how the lag hack operates. I never did try to discover how a (possibly) more invasive hack might be done and therefore countered.

It doesn't matter if you decide to stay in a game and try to play it out....you just get automatically dropped after a certain period of time.
