Therefore, if you are super serious about keeping your points, it would be true for the duration of the hack that the opponent will have a sorely difficult time controlling units and doing things in a timely fashion, whereas you will basically be able to play perfectly since the game is moving so slowly. Of course if you are actually getting insane control delay too and not just a game slowdown type lag... then I'm not sure exactly how the lag hack operates. I never did try to discover how a (possibly) more invasive hack might be done and therefore countered. I played a guy yesterday who seemed to be map hacking. Out micro'd him, wiped his mineral line with banes. He walked his last 4 lings into my base, shift-clicked my drones, shift clicked out of my base and activated the lag hack. Neither of us could input any commands which meant my entire drone line died for free. He still couldn't possibly defeat my remaining army because it was so much larger than his, so he lagged me out ftw. Tt.

Watching ST_Rainbow yesterday was painful though... I understand that Blizzard is working on a solution but at least ban some OBVIOUS cases...like the number 1 on NA ladder right now?

Once again I feel like because they're not even playing their own game they just don't care as much to act quickly, I can't imagine this would be going on this long, this rampantly, if they were getting drophacked too.

Between the dropping and the cheese it makes it really hard to ladder and enjoy a good game out of it.

You can tell how in touch Blizzard is with the community and their own game by looking at this Blizzard post. Please be aware that we will continue to take action against accounts of players found to be purposefully losing games (smurfing) in order to be placed in lower leagues. Intentionally losing games can be punished by suspension from the game or permanent closure of the account. http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/2743728019 They don't even know what smurfing is, it's laughable.
