They need to develop an accurate and easily mass-reproducible hack checking system in order to make sure they don't ban a bunch of innocent people. Maybe the silent cheater is not that easy and secure to detect, but now we have a wave of 100% obviously cheaters.

I am an EVE player. It's awesome go check it out. You have all spaceships 'n' shit, and you can do cool shit like pretend you're a Ghost, and cloak them, but without the emasculating lycra suit. There's no "detection" in EVE, either, 'cause ninjas should be fucking ninjas, god damnit. Why would you be invisible if people can see you? Same goes for your client, too. If there's a spiky cloaked Nightmare next to you, (and there is a spiky ship called the Nightmare), you are not meant to know, no matter how much packet sniffing, RAM reading, or rune divining you do. When they decloak, then you know. Used to make a cool sound too. This came with a problem. There's latency. Like, everywhere. On a normal day, I turn on my guns, and about a second later, they proceed to ruin someone's day. Another problem is that people bring ships to a fight until the server sweats bullets, so it's not uncommon to see, like, 1500 dudes turning up to a fight, in big-as-shit ships, with bigger guns, and less underwear. When you mix cloaked ships into this cesspool, things get hairy. You can bump another ship with yours, which is both cool, and equal to mv1+mv2. When a cloaked ship gets bumped, it decloaks. What of the game client, though? It's got a course set for "right the hell over there", and space is open, so dem thrusters be MAX. SUDDENLY. DECLOAKING SHIP. The server knew it was there, but the physics calculations are done client-side as well, so the ship bounces on the server, then some time later the client gets told "there's a bloody mass of metal and pilot ahead of you bro", and bumps off somewhere utterly different to where the server expects. Back in the day, this wasn't really corrected, and straaaaange shit happened with your targeting systems being able to target 100km in one direction, and -75km in the other, and all sorts of other strange looking calculations client-side. Now this is all from my memory, and I don't remember what exactly they did to fix it, but for fuck's sake why can't units (in the map editor use of the word) in FoW be "cloaked" in the EVE sense? If anyone wants to figure it out, which'd be cool, there's a devblog up somewhere on http://eveonline.com

GO NUTS fight fire with fire i say they think they are winning well time to fight back! well if they made a certain outspoken zerg player say something along the lines of "Hacking is imbalanced", maybe there would be like 50 threads on every forum about blizzard needing to nerf hacking... *sarcasm*

3 days have passed since a drophacker is number 1 on ladder. For legit GM players, the best way to retain their spot and ranking is NOT PLAYING at all. Just tune in any GM stream, watch it for 30mins, you are almost guarantee to see a drophacker. FU Blizzard.
