With all the other shows there are now these days, its not worth my time anymore. I don't know man, LO3 has always been one of my favorite shows precisely because it's all over the place and is able to cover a lot of e-sports news I wouldn't get otherwise.

Other than that- paying tournament prize purses, paying player salary, running LCS. Yeah sure, that's one way of naming it "support". But many people would disagree that it's the same definition of "supporting organizations to stand on their own feet". Out of pure curiosity, how many other non-LCS tournaments are left in LoL?

Developer support freezes the growth of eSports. When it goes away, what have you learned? There was no business model, it's a donation of money. LCS and WCS disappear, what now? "Well, LCS was great, they just had to pay salaries to 16 teams and run 2 studios, lets just get that money". It's disproportionate to the popularity of eSports and it is quite frankly dangerous to the future of the industry. Players will have unreasonable expectations. Sponsors will have unreasonable expectations. Organizers will not have evolved. This is the next bubble. If you want eSports to grow, support businesses like NASL and BTS, not Blizzard and Riot.

This show was first one in a long while i was actually able to tune in and it kept me interested throughout. Normally i kind of tune out once SC2 related stuff is done, but this time the guests and topics kept me listening whole show. Cheers. I feel the same. I´m also mainly interested in SC2 related stuff but its nice to widen ones horizon and get to know how e-Sports work in other games.

He's so bias and uninformed about Dota and how the eSport works it's ridiculous. And I've heard him talk about the game several times, every time same shit. Every time equally uninformed and pisses on Dota, or dota efforts like BTS, when knowing nothing about it. And praising the same shit or worse shit in other games. 1. He has a problem with tickets. Even though tickets allow multiple casters in-game. They allow a greater revenue source than ANYTHING in eSports before apart from direct sponsorship. Basically the most important innovation in eSports in years. 2. He has a problem with cosmetics. Even though cosmetics in Dota profit content creators, people from the community that makes them. They have no effect on the game, unlike purchasing Champions. Value for money? Who gives a shit, games are entertainment, in entertainment the user decides the value of the product. It's quite frankly fucking pathetic for a man with some otherwise good insight and who seemingly holds himself to such a high regard in researching and formulating meaningful opinions. Just please, Richard, if you're reading this. Stop talking about Dota, don't make excuses about how Dota fans are 'mean'. Don't try to qualify your statements with that 'well people say Valve is perfect and people wouldn't treat other companies the same'. You don't know what you're talking about, that's all there is to it, there's no way to justify the statements you make about the game and it's just making you look like hack. The people who are hardest on Valve are still us, the Dota community, you just don't see it because you don't know shit about the community.
