The series in progress dragged on for hours due to games having to be restarted and ultimately the remaining games were called off and will be streamed from some undisclosed location later this week. djwheat was real solid though

They could see their opponent's minimap from their booth? What a joke. I think its time they invest in some old school ingenuity and buy some folders to make a folder wall.

Wow. I would think with all the money Riot has they'd at least have those team booths.

That's what happens when you put all your money into jaw-dropping price moneys and don't give a shit if the competition is a farce... big numbers is all they care about, at least that is the impression you can get.

The weirdest thing is that I believe Riot actually owns the team booths that MLG used for the LoL competitions this season, so the only reason that they didn't use them is that they wanted to have the rotating stage. Seems like a pretty bad decision. A lot of their actions just show how inexperienced they are in running competitions; hopefully they will be able to look at other tournaments that have been run to see how exactly to improve. I think they tried to go as big as possible without thinking through how everything would fit together to make the best competition possible. I had fun watching this weekend, but the whole thing looks like a disaster that will take a long time for Riot to put behind them.

ET is not the same as it was 8-9 years ago when it was released. Community created great maps and etpro mod. Game was/is still played at a ridiculously high level. Sure it was a bit worse than RTCW in the beginning, maybe we were spoiled by many great FPS games at that time. I sure wish another game like rtwc,et comes out right now.

You should want these finals to go perfectly. A competition between Riot and Blizzard would only benefit everyone... if this event would have went flawless there is no way Blizzard wouldn't respond with an even bigger Blizzcon production of there own. Competition is a good thing people... stop rooting for failure.

I don't feel like they care as much as Riot, which maybe isn't a bad thing. Riot Games wants LoL to be the only premier E-sport, their business decisions reflect that.

Riot is hardly unfallable, the finals weren't exactly what you'd expect of a 2 million dollar prize pool, considering that there are many tournaments without such glaring issues with smaller prizes. And I don't see any wheat hate on this page :O Edit: or even on the last page! >: ( You lied to me!
