Additionally, if there is a sudden influx of league changes, will Battle.net be able to handle the sudden mass change...?

Because it seems like there are is a fairly substantial number of players that are supposed to be promoted as well as demoted. Additionally, if there is a sudden influx of league changes, will Battle.net be able to handle the sudden mass change...? The number of players being promoted/demoted is always big in NA server, because there is so many players there. And the server will handle it just fine, it's like 100 times less stress than at new season when everyone needs a placement, right?

On a serious note, Blizzard does not actively engage with their community with releasing time tables. It could be next year or it could be in 5 minutes. The only thing that is certain is that it will be fixed, but the time table for it to be fixed will never be announced until it actually takes place.

Yeah, very frustrating the amount of time they take to even just acknowledge they are working on certain technical issues.

Your initial placement matches have a higher effect on your MMR than regular matches. So 2-3 in placement and 18-6 total would get you considerably higher MMR than 0-5 in placement and 18-6 total. Note, however, that 24 matches are a really small sample size and unlikely (though very well possible) to get you promoted (or demoted) anywhere. The system accounts for winning and losing streaks. For example, on a couple different occasions I've had streaks of 10 matches won in a row without getting promoted any time soon. You can skip a league entirely. The system doesn't promote you until it's relatively certain of where you're supposed to be. (When you're winning and losing consistently against players of that level.)
