I just send an email to Blizzard Support, let's see what they tell us.

thanks for the feedback. i have yet to try it on low but i will do that soon and see for myself. on high the roach doesnt seem to have this problem.


Part of the issue is that on low you dont have any glow effects or shine to distract you, you see it all as it is, and its all texture. So the massive amount of color is just a big blob of color without much detail to it, it feels like because the roach is more blue than roach




Ohhh I see. Well I guess these textures don't work too good on low then :/
Maybe some other time I'll try to adapt them to low graphics settings, but until then I guess these textures aren't suitable for low. I'll update OP with that.

Updated the OP with my stream link. I don't stream too often, cuz of school, but I'll try to stream more so you guys can see the textures in action. I'll try streaming for a bit, but probably not for long since i'm pretty sick and have a fever. But in the future if you guys want to see what the textures would look like with someone streaming, you should check if I'm online.

Given the opporunity for abuse by changing the colour of ghosts or something, surely Blizzard wouldn't endorse changing the game colours? I appreciate that's not the point and I'd absolutely love to use the new textures but I can't see it being risk free in terms of banning?

Ya... i know a couple people messaged blizzard to ask if this thing is okay

im looking forward to hearing back from what they have to say

all of that aside.. i would love to have the oponents red army with a florescent green ghost in the middle.

Any way we can make cloaked units florescent orange?

Id also love it if we could change the MPQ to make the life bars appear less cluttered

Yeah I understand. People, including me, have been customizing things since beta though and no one has been banned or warned. I don't think theres any danger, but I cant promise so I understand the fear :/

checked out the stream, the colors look awesome
ima download that stuff tonight!

ur open is pretty solid, but I duno if you usehotkeys or have them hidden, but make sure you have your nexus' and robos hotkeyed so you can build while you are attacking

your probe production kinda fell apart, make sure you fully saturate

and for PvP, you dont want to attack as soon as you expand. you want to either 4-gate / 1-base colosus all-in, or 2-base colossus all-in

personally i prefer the 1-base colosus all-in but to each his own

(there are other builds too that are viabble, but Colosus is standard and will get u to masters easy enough if you can get ur apm up)

I hardly think this can be "legal". It definitely can make an uneven playing field; the ghost example is a good example. Interesting that Blizz doesnt really directly discourage it though, if that's true.

Wow at first I was like what a load of crap. Then I was addicted to the stronger team colors. The original Starcraft had incredibly strong team colors, and Blizzard needs to seriously look into this.

Obviously they can take it to another level but the current team colors don't represent an eSport. They need to be far stronger, I hate how the community wanted washed out colors, but great team color + good grunge style design can make it stand out while not looking crappy.

Omg these pictures make them game look so much better, even if you are playing just by yourself. Blizzard should make the graphics even better and more detailed plus putting these types of colors in. That would make sc2 even that much better.
