The laid-back, analytical style of commentary with appropriate excitement is definitely my favorite style; I can't stand forced enthusiasm. Your rapport is really developing as well. Good job!

I think they need to do more showing of the overall brackets and group standings. Its great to say "oh this guy is 3-0" but that means nothing to me if i dont know what everyone else in the group is at, or even who else is in the group.

Ya we're probably going to work at getting some stuff like this going into the pre-show and outro of each day. We're constantly going to be working at new things to see if we can finally reach a formula that makes the largest majority of people happy

We know we can't please everyone, but we do hope that we can find a solution to make most people happy most of the time.

Along these same lines, I think that there needs to be somewhere on the website the full schedule for each player. Basically, when I click on a player's name and go to their profile page, it should have the full schedule, not just the games played. Having this will also make it easier for casters to know (before their interviews start) who the interviewee will be playing in their next games. I remember last week during the TLO interview, there was a particularly awkward moment when neither the player nor the casters knew who his next opponent was. (NOTE: I'm not hating on the casters; they're busy enough and preparing for player interviews is probably really low on their list of priorities.)

I've also jokingly suggested before that the casters should wear colored blazers, but in all seriousness, I would like it if the casters/background were a little less "blue/black."

I have to agree with this. Last night, especially, was just excellent in commenting (lol@gretrol being an oil).

If I had to make a suggestion, I'd suggest having some sort of "highlights" thing playing in the background in the same way you had the Godzilla thing playing in the background. I really liked how that looked on the screen, so I think it might be cool if you had a "player highlights" clip or something as you talk about them after each set.
I first realized Immortals were reincarnated Dragoons when I saw them dancing helplessly behind my Stalkers.

What? You know that this is recorded before hand right? And that he tunes in almost every night to watch with us to see how it comes out?

The guy spent 4 hours recording this the first time, I think it's sort of unfair to expect him to stick around for another 4 to watch it, even though he does it anyways most days.

You're obviously just grasping for something to gripe about now that most of the production problems have been solved.

I think he's saying it's bad that he's sniping viewers from the NASL stream. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, just clarifying here.

Hey hey hey, did I touch a wrong button? Too many assumptions made from reading one post of mine

I'm just saying, as posted after you, that the owner/creator/whatever of NASL putting up his own personal stream (And not watching their own show i presume?) which has a viewer base during nasl is unprofessional, and shows a lack of care; and that's how business works. Sorry if you don't agree with that ^^

Also, it doesen't matter if it's pre-recorded, it's still live now. Pre-recorded or streamed completely live makes no difference

Needs a visual and compact logo, for example, [image loading]
Maybe crowdsource the logo/hold a competition across the sc2/TL community.

Take 50% of the prize money and get an awesome studio up with booths and 2/3 gaming houses to put the players in, let them fly out there, let fans come and watch, basically copy the GSL but for America.

Right now it's just another online tourney for me, the production imho for 2011 is crap, IPL is barely acceptable. Any average joe can make production content, if you care enough put more time into it.

Ofc I might be a bit harsh, but compare the NASL to CGS (which completely flopped despite TV level production) and you have to wonder if the right people are involved here. There is still so much that needs to be done to even compare to Korea, and I have to say I expected this to compete with it but honestly it's two different worlds.

Hopefully IGN will be the ones to push SC2 out to the general media

You need a locally-hosted show like GSL if you want even a chance to "push sc2 out to the general media". Online tournaments don't make much difference unfortunantly.

Looks like you guys are really putting some work into improving the quality of your league/broadcast. Just want to let you guys know that it shows :-)

Keep working at it.

Have you ever watched anything more than the preshow, during which they specifically say they're just going to talk?

That's exactly what they're doing with the finals of the NASL. Have you been paying attention? This is just the preliminaries, really...

I agree with this guy. I feel like Torpcontrol are becoming their own duo though, they are a tad amateur but they know when to be serious and when to be funny. I think they're perfect and the guest commentators are amazing. I think they should rotate the screen in epic battles however like in gsl like when jinro killed mcs carriers in gsl with his mech army.

I would very much like to be able to see the VODs in lower qualities. I can't watch some of the content I paid for because my computer can't handle 1080 smoothly.

i like it a lot, however i think i don't will pay for it anytime as there are tons of tourneys streamed each day. no problem with ads, as i am willing to accept ads in order to avoid payment. keep up the good work, improved a lot compared to the initial casts :-D

The VODS need to be available at a lower quality. I can't watch 4 hours a day at that quality and not have my internet capped before the end of the month.

Do you have any idea of the scope and cost of what you just proposed? You can't find anything close to that for $25,000 or $50,000. Get real.

I would just like to say that the last time i tuned it to NASL, it was looking waaaay better. Backdrop was better, sound quality/sound level was actually pretty good! Casting still feels abit awkward though... this is just a matter of personal preference, but i think incontrol would do alot better with another co-caster.
God is dead.
