- Fix lag
- Fix framerate
- Fix sound quality
- I also would prefer if Khaldor wouldn't commentate as it's a bit unprofessional to have him on webcam. Also he has an annoying way of speaking.

@Artanis2: I disagree. I joke around with all my closest friends and your logical fallacy of "if you respect them you don't joke about them being dumb" is just that, a fallacy. You both have an issue with something. You brought it to this thread. 50% of the equation you have a problem with said they won't change that. You can keep arguing that you "speak for the majority of the NASL paid subscribers (WTF?)" and that "tv people don't do it so you shouldn't" but I will always regard both of those perspectives as rooted in incorrect assumptions.

The only major gripe I have right now was the camera work during week 3 day 4. I just felt that some of the zoom-in's onto the casters felt random and unneeded, and I personally disagree with the background. I apologize that I can't say I dislike the background for anything more than that its just ..... not right or perfect. Maybe the loading screen where the Hyperion is just floating in the background? or that one news channel in the campaign? On another note, reading the past page of comments in this thread, I'm a bit disappointed in the quality of the assessments. Complaining about the casters is one thing, and completely justifiable during the first week, but to now start being critical of the two insulting each other in a jokingly manner? What other people do is irrelevant, I personally find it funny with the running contest between Gretorp and iNcontroL over who's right on what.

(Plus, the Khaldor casts are pretty cool, I like the caster mix, it's refreshing. Which is why I'd like to see iNcontrol + {insert caster here} if/when Gretorp plays!)

"speak for the majority of the NASL paid subscribers" I never said that. I never once used the word paid. don't put it in quotes if its not a quote. this is what i said: "i honestly think the majority of NASL viewers" clearly it was only my opinion, not speaking for them. And it was based on reading the comment threads and participating in the nightly chats. Not pulled out of thin air. before that I never said i speak for everyone, i said audiences in general, and i was speaking academically, not specifically. whatever man, i don't care enough about it to argue any further. good luck. P.S. I don't give a shit if you guys hate on each other, that was never my point. my point was that doods like artanis have more of a problem with it because it doesn't seem like you genuinely like each other.

We're constantly going to be working at new things to see if we can finally reach a formula that makes the largest majority of people happy ![]() We know we can't please everyone, but we do hope that we can find a solution to make most people happy most of the time.

first of all. You are doing great! I enjoyed most of the time watching the nasl and I will keep to do so! my main point where you could improve in my opinion is the VOD Setup: Currently its kinda weird. They vods are uploaded on jtv before the EU broadcast, so I normally start watching whenever I come home from work, and they are available split up on the nasl site later on. I guess this will be the case for many Europeans, so the rebroadcast is not that necessary I think. What I like about the VODs on jtv is that there is a 4-5hour file to watch so that I can just watch the game like a rebroadcast with the option to jump to a specific point. what I dont like is a) only 1080p: I prefer watching 1080p, because it just looks awesome, but it takes about 5 min to load ahead. Sometimes I just want to go and watch immediately - so 720p or so would be perfect as another version. b) the distribution on the NASL.tv site. I find it quite hard to get the correct video via the video section, so I normally go to the schedule section which unfortunately has spoilers right above the link to the video. And in addition there is no vod for the whole day broadcast like it's on jtv. A quite good example for a vod setup in my eyes is the gsl. There's the schedule site with spoilerfree matches and seperated matches 1/2/3. (the only thing in my opinion gsl is missing is a whole file of the day broadcast) edit: the point Two_DoWn brought up seems kinda nice. I would love to see such a thing implemented in the pregame/postgame show

I feel like the format needs to change though. Group stage is cool, but i think it needs to be split into 2 parts or something. As many others have said it's a bit difficult to feel the excitement of each match. Certainly showing group standing graphics etc would be an improvement, but i feel like each match means too little early on.. and I assume that's gonna mean some matches at the end will be unimportant as well. Which makes me think 2 rounds of groupstage or something similar would be a better idea. I don't have a great idea on how to do it sadly, but definitely something to consider for season 2. My other little feedback thing is that the casters need to improve a little more. It's already gotten a ton better, so I'm sure it will keep going that way. Keep up the good work guys.

The video quality is the best I have seen and I don't have to wait for buffering. (10mbit fiber connection in Norway). The commentating itself is relatively good, although I prefer Doa/Moletrap and the casting Archon. ![]() I still don't like the all-games-in-one-video because it will spoil the games for me occasionally (if there is no time for a third game for instance). I would like if the videos were sorted by group instead of chronologically that way I would know who is playing in what group. As it is now I have no idea who is in a group together. I payed the 25$ out of curiosity, but I don't know if I would want to pay that much again. I prefer watching the GSL, because of the match setup (every match is REALLY important) and because I actually know what is going on in the league and can find out without spoiling it for myself. I only watch the VODs btw. tl;dr excellent video, very good audio and commentating, bad website because of spoilers.

Its great to say "oh this guy is 3-0" but that means nothing to me if i dont know what everyone else in the group is at, or even who else is in the group. I definitely agree on this. I don't have the time to carefully watch NASL every night (or pay and watch VODs), and I suspect even most people who do don't remember all of this. The division ranking should definitely be in a graphic in the pregame show. (Preferably near the end, so people like me who don't generally watch the pregame show can see it a little...) It'd also be nice if the graphics introducing the players before each match had their records on them, preferably including who they beat. (It'd be nice to see if they had their easier opponents early or are good at a particular matchup, etc.) It'd also be nice if the website was updated more quickly with results. Being able to "follow" it even when I don't have time to watch makes it a little more interesting. Division 4 isn't currently updated at all, even though it's been over for almost a full day, and division 3 is weirdly half-updated. Also, there's no way to see results at all. (Or at least, it's not easy to find.) I like the change to something other than the plain gray background, though whatever video editing you used left pretty strong black shadows/lines around the edges of the casters, which was a little distracting. Also, game sounds seemed extremely low to me (on this recent cast - some day I watched in the past they were better). All that said, clearly huge improvements are being made, so congratulations on that.

Come to think of it, most of my criticism towards NASL are Justin.tv related. I really don't like that site...

Instead of heightening the tension of a climatic finish where one player is at an obvious advantage, the commentators are sitting back and calmly just saying things like "this has to be game, we should see gg anytime", when in fact the game will not end for another 3 minutes. I really enjoy the job that Inc. and Gretorp are doing for 98% of the game, but there are SO MANY other comments that improve game interest up until the final "gg" that could be said. I'm a player and viewer and obviously I can see that one player has a dominant chance to win, but this is obvious to even the most inexperienced of SC2 fans. What does not need to be said is "this game is over", when clearly both players are still microing and macroing to their fullest extent. It is as if the commentators are giving up on the last 2 minutes of a game. This is something to be worked on, specifically something that you would never see a professional sports caster do. I don't care how you want to fill it, just don't say "its over". The viewer immediately loses interest, period.
