As others have stated, divide the 'preshow' content up between each match. That is my best suggestion.

Everytime he would get excited I was afraid my speakers were gonna break. Some kind of volume max has to be implemented. Also it's clear how often he is clueless about what to say. Incontrol gives analysis, gretorp: "Indeed." Some huge battle happens in the game, gretorp: "Oh my god, oh my god.... oh my god!" Just my 2cents, but I loved the games and players and that's what matters most.

The only real part that i went, "ooo" at, in a negative way, was when inc said, "oh but don't worry, this'll all be edited out later" when the drop box came up for Gretorp. I was honestly like, oh god, they put on the wrong video. Other than that, i felt like everything was fantastic, gretorp & inc work BEAUTIFULLY together, didn't mind the lack of music. The only other thing i'm torn on is the pregame show. Part of me would like the little introduction before each NEW matchup, but then again, another part of me likes how they did it, where it was basically MATCH MATCH MATCH MATCH, one after the other. Not a lot of downtime waiting for everyone to get ready, get in the room, make sure your mouse is attached, okay, make sure you're ready to go, oh wait, he left the lobby and is actually afk for half a minute. So, basically, i'm taking it back and like the pre-game show. I can't wait to see more.

More cycling on tabs. Thanks for watching today, we are all feeling the pressure of the first day and you have been very supportive. Hey, first thanks for responding to the feedback. Second, you might also want to consider having the audio tech teach some basic mic techniques to the casters. I do a fair amount of work in music (I have a music degree, for whatever that's worth), and compression will help a bit, but if the guy has to really jam it, it'll sound a bit wonky. It's worth mentioning to the casters that as they get excited, they should try and pull a little bit away from the mic so that we don't hear distortion. I doubt they really need all that much help, and I overall really enjoyed the casts tonight. My biggest complaint is when commercials aired right during a joke incontrol was making. Looking forward to seeing how it improves throughout the next few months!

Add in some space between the commentators talking and the start of the match to have commercials! For example, in the TSL they say 'and our match will begin right after this' (or something like that) and there is a break where you get a commercial. Please do that, since it is annoying to have the casters cut off for an ad I have seen 700 times and am sick of.

Way too much random hate for literally nothing. I think the casters did good, they seem to work pretty well together. I agree Gretorp may sound a little fake at some points but it's not even bothering me enough to want this to change. Game music is a very important point tho, it needs to be there. I guess better mics would be good, then again, I heard WAY worse. Overall I'm quite satisfied and I'll keep watching for sure.

Also, I wish the casters would stick in a few more jokes in during the cast here and there like Tastosis. I mean Incontrol is absolutely hilarious on SoTG, but when he's casting games it's like he's in this super professional mode. Wish he'd be a bit more chill and show more of his personality. Didn't really like Gretorp's casting that much either, but that's just my personal opinion. Lastly, I do wish they would take at least a 4-5 min break between different sets of games to introduce the maps, players, etc. Enough time for a short food/bio break or something.

I read back 1-2 pages and the only diva-ism I see is from your post. At least quote the offenders? You proceed in your post to do exactly what everyone else has been doing in this thread: point out areas of improvement. EDIT: As for tips for NASL, honestly most people here are nit picking. More music, more flashiness would be nice. Personally I dislike the casters, but that's personal taste and objectively speaking they do their job just fine. But I don't see why people are bringing up things like 3D portraits.

Not the NASL! But instead in the fact that people have such negative things to say about a free service that was done very well. I'm not of the belief that you need to be thankful for anything just because it's free; if it's garbage it's garbage. But today's show was far above and beyond anything a reasonable person should ever expect for a free service. [edit]I just want to make it clear that I'm saying that I think offering suggestions for improvement is a great thing, but claiming that today's broadcast was anything but a success is foolish in my opinion. And further: I didn't sense a hint of bias or "fakeness" in either caster... but perhaps that's because I've liked both of them from well before today![/edit] I was genuinely expecting to come into this thread and be overwhelmed with the positive comments, but instead there are just pages of people who are impossible to impress. I can't believe everyone is so quick to say negative things about it without offering any constructive criticism. If you wouldn't say it to their face, you probably shouldn't post it online either (not that that stops anyone on the internet from doing it anyway). Shame on all the haters out there. I really feel like you guys want this thing to fail for no good reason! All in all, great job to Gretorp, Incontrol, and everyone over at NASL. I'm impressed! You guys did a great job! Because I know that you guys will improve upon the obvious minor things as the season goes, I only have one point of criticism to offer: Is it possible to consider offering a trial of the HD stream? I would definitely be interested in purchasing an HD ticket (mostly for the VODs), but I want to make sure that the quality difference is as much as I'm expecting.

2. Stream lag was pretty good, I have 9mbit down internet and could (kind of) watch it in 1080p, it would lag every now and then and I ended up watching it in 720p, not a big deal for me since I really paid for VOD access (and to support their efforts) not 1080p 3. I totally agree with what is in the OP, what is on the line here? If they lose/win these BO3's what happens, what does it mean for them? I didn't hear things like this mentioned at all. 4. Put yourselves in ref mode so you can pause and talk to the players, that lag got pretty bad on that last game edit...5. Better mics/sound quality and control, the pregame music as well as the quality of their voices was lacking a lot, especially when you watch it on your TV/home theater you really notice the quality was lacking there Also/... I LOVE how quick you guys got into the games, and moved forward, maybe like some others have suggested intro for the players a little bit between matches, but it was also really nice how quick the action started again after a game ended. Overall, great job to all involved, went pretty smooth for day 1 for sure!

He may be busy with his life so can't find enough time to play sc2 full time so he might be a bit rusty and outdated on strategies, but his RTS mind always astounds me. I honestly don't think he deserves this kind of bashing. playing the game full time makes it a lot different. we saw it on IEM, TLO was the better analyzer compared to Day9. it wasn't because Day9 didn't know the game, it was because he was outdated regarding many strategies and thinking that he is doing dailies and game analysis, you really understand that when you play the game full time, it will be different. he can suck at commentating or not, but you need to appreciate his understanding of the game if you know him. and I think his brain is normal enough to understand when ppl tell him that he is faking excitement, and then to find a way to fix it. It doesn't mean that he will continue doing that. Ppl need to put down their torches and stop yelling "replace Gretorp". How can you expect him to get better if you replace him after first day. This is a criticism thread so things can get better. But I also think that he was taking the job less seriously than I expected. If he takes it seriously and stop things that he does that ppl don't like, he will be awesome.

Jacket + T-Shirt looks wrong (and Tasteless just looks like an idiot with his too short arms on the jacket when he stands up) and is wrong. Just look at the things 2gd was wearing at the Dreamhack Invitational ... it looked awesome, but the jacket+T-Shirt combo just looks like people who try to be professional but wont bother really going for it. Its totally american junk IMO ...

Add in some camera moves during openinga a closings. ex Pushing into Geoff from a wide shot as he does his intro Cover up your seams in the backdrop with something. Maybe a low key column or something Add some zazz to the top of the desk (the only part we actually see Get a prompter for player bios so youre not looking at notes and can look at the camera, but practice with it so it doesnt look like youre reading a promter And I know we're not suppose to comment on the audio but I would look into using lapel mics instead of head mics. You'll get a much natural sound Overall you guys did great. Fantastic game with fantasic commentators. Totes worth the $20 <3

How do you expect it to improve without critisism? The show is ment to appeal to people so its only natural people give there opinions on what they thought was wrong, sure some of it is out of line like al lthe Gretorp hate (kellymilkies all over again?) either way most of the "negatives" pointed out in this thread are things that need to be addressed, like mic issues, lighting etc. Even if it's a free service, offering opinions on how to improve it is not an attack on them it should be welcomed ideas from it's audience.
