I don't know anything about the supposed animosity between the two, but just saw this pic at the epic image thread and maybe it has something to do with the discussion.
the letter recaps the gsl jan mc-jinro match. omg jinro has risen to a superstar status in the swedish esports scene. in bw western peeps didnt have a chance but in sc2 they can compete with the best. get your ass to arlanda on the 10th and cheer for jinro etcetc
Rakaka greykarn writes open letter to the community:
Dear community friends, esportälskare & StarCraft fans! An early morning January 15, 2011 I woke up, Hellspawn, Pond and Iceman in Uppsala. After an overnight stay in Pond apartment we had set the alarm clock on the right-to-early. It was time for GSL with Artosis and Tasteless. All, each with a coffee cup in hand and a focus on Group D in the Round of 16 with ogs MC, marinated king, Rainb0w and successful player Jinro as in the previous season had got her big break after that made it to the semfinal in a Korean StarCraft II tournament as the first non-korean.
Two hours later we stand up and shout in chorus, raise your arms in the sky and roared a deafening JIIIIIIIINRO which should have brought the whole house. After the initial defeat by marinating king had Swedish Jinro done the impossible and beaten the defending GSL champion MC twice - first on the Lost Temple and then on Scrap Station. He beat a player who only weeks earlier had humiliated him in a semifinal in which the Swede had a chance.
It was somewhere there that I definitely decided to become an avid supporter Jinro. Sweden had a new e-sports star in the class with Lakerman and HeatoN. If not more. I do not know if that was all we drank coffee that morning or if it was his nickname, "Gorilla Terran", which made me Jinro-saved. Maybe it was that he had previously been a devoted forumpostare on team liquid with 30 000 items in luggage, now got to live his dream in e-sport engagement of country. Maybe it was something else .. But there is a tomorrow is not soon forget ..
Bolstered by confidence steamed Jinro again in the semifinals. In the semifinals, he once again meet purl marinating king and it was, unfortunately, loss again. But never have two semifinal losses were so great. Jinro enrolled in the Swedish e-sport history. Jinro also opened my eyes to a whole e-sports world: The South Koreans are not unbeatable. In Brood War had been impossible feat, but in StarCraft II Westerners could finally compete with the Korean superstar. Jinro had not only become a fanfavorit in Sweden - but a whole online world was impressed by the Swedish Terran player. It seemed otherwise to Twitter - where he was 'Trending' everywhere.
On the 10th of April at 11:20 landing Jonathan "Jinro" Walsh at Arlanda airport. He will work with the TL-mate Bachelor of Og-star MC. Jinro is invited, just like the other two, to play in the DreamHack tournament 'Stockholm Invitiational' at Kulturhuset. It is the first time that Jinro will return to Sweden after the success in Korea.
I've said it several times, but it was probably somewhere in Uppsala, I decided: If Jinro will return to Sweden, the Swedish e-sport community, stop, go to the airport and welcome our Swedish e-sports hero back to Stockholm. He is certainly keen to meet with friends and family shortly after landing, but hopefully we can at least give back some of the entertainment he has given us this dark winter.
I therefore call on all e-sports fans out there, do as I do, Pond and Hellspawn. Book a bus, a train, take a taxi or a tank car full of petrol. At 11 on Sunday (10 / 4) we have seen namely in the arrivals hall in Terminal 5 at Arlanda and celebrates the super hero.
Bring cameras, signs or anything. It is of course a lot of StarCraft-talk, perhaps a visit to McDonald's and a perfect warm up before StarCraft II event April 12. Who would not want to have a Swedish victory in the Cultural Center?
Then comb the bangs now, and write in the comments below if you show up! It would be otherwise - fun to see!

Around this time I decided to become a dedicated Jinro-fan. A new swedish e-sports star was born as big as Lakerman or HeatoN. Perhaps even bigger. I don't know if it was all the coffee we drank that morning or if it was his nickname, "Gorilla Terran", that made me such a Jinro-fan. Maybe it was because he was such a dedicated forumposter on teamliquid with his 30 000 posts who now got the chance to live his dream in the promised land of e-sports. Thats why you are supposed to say if you're coming in this thread. Then you can see how many of you there are.
Seems reasonable. I just realized that this is a chance for me to meet other SC2 players from Uppsala too as none of my friends here are gamers. Ill be there! (If I manage to get up in time).
I'm going to Arlanda because I have a plane to catch at 5pm. Might even consider going earlier, but not sure if I want to sit around for that many hours afterwards no matter how awesome Jinro is. But it's like the stars aligned.. goddamn decisions.
Sigh, it was Huk doing all of the trolling. Idra was just reacting to it.
We dont even know how 'bad' their relationship is, it may just be purely in the competition scene that they have a rivalry
Maybe they are more like a buddy cop scenario. Good Cop, Bad Cop. But when the chips are down, Officer Huk and Officer Idra are ready to dish out true justice.
Would be very cool to be there, but sadly I live too close to the finnish boarder to make a trip in the middle of the week. I'll be welcoming you in spirit Jinro!

IdrA believes HuK is not very good or undeserving of the recognition he gets, based on that he thinks HuK is a bad player and is only considered good by the community because he is protoss. On stage at MLG Dallas 2011 last week, after beating HuK, IdrA on the main stage made the comment that HuK could never beat him straight up and is only good because he is protoss. So it would definitely be an awkward car ride and I would love to have a video of someone in the car with them recording it ^_^.

Lol i think they both give as much as they get; it's cute.
THe competitiveness between them is awesome; IdrA's smile in his MLG interview after beating HuK - it was like nothing else in the tournament matters except beating HuK, he has also said many times that HuK can't beat him in a straight up game.. So dreamhack should be very interesting - and i'm just talking about the car ride :p
I hope someone takes their camera down for this and gets some photos of the fan riot for Jinro :p
Oh man I wish I could be there. The amount of superstars going to be there (not to mention my personal favorite Jinro.) One of these days i'm going to make it an event. (Maybe Ill win the TSL raffle draw? haha... I wish)
Best of luck guys. Will cheering for Liquid all the way.

Because Idra kinda trolled Huk in MLG

Is there anyone in the Stockholm-area who I could carpool with? If there will be a McDonads gathering afterwards as speculated by the op, I'd love to treat my good samaritan driver. Anyone who can help me out, please PM!

If I saw HuK, Jinro, and MC on the same plane as me it would be a dream come true, I would hopefully have some kind of starcraft paraphernalia them to sign like starcraft 2 disc or a shirt of something :D. Whoever is the same plane as them is lucky if you are a starcraft fan :D.

Well Idra is right so I don't know why Huk would be upset at the truth. He's been one of the most overrated players since beta. Never accomplished much but always hyped up by the community for some reason. Made mothership at MLG and lost the game is his only claim to fame apparently. Other much more creative, skilled toss players like Kiwikaki have been overshadowed by Huk for so long. Glad the poll for Dreamhack shows the community is catching on.

Except, like, winning A FUCKING MLG ?
Players in Korea really suffer from lack of exposure, something HuK was making up with his streaming. It's ridiculous how easily people forget that and now he is code S, as a 3rd foreigner so far. Calling that underperforming is like saying Idra never shows emotion.

Thanks for the translation the ones who put in the effort, as it only concern Swedish people I didn't take the time to translate but I realized it was requested, so thanks!
Can say that we have already 20 people signed up on the Facebook-event so I can say now that we will be atleast 25-30. Hopefully more people will show up as it will be lots of fun and a great way to show the players and the world that Swedish SC2-fans are dedicated and love E-sports!
According to LFV, the only plane landing at Terminal 5 at 11.20 on Sunday is from Istanbul. It sounds highly improbable that they are going Korea - Istanbul - Arlanda instead of, say, Korea - Frankfurt - Arlanda.
Can anyone confirm that they are actually coming with Turkish Airlines from Istanbul?
Ive got one spot left in my car, filled up quite fast Im going from Kista and can pick up one person either in Kista 10:20 or anywhere on the road to Arlanda.
first come, first served. PM me here or at quakenet.
Ooh imagine how baller it would be to be stuck in the confined spaces of an aircraft with Jinro HuK AND freakkkiinnggg MC!! - Good luck to them all at DreamHack

Turkish Airlines have pretty competent prices to far east so I wouldn't be that surprised if they used it

Huk said on his stream that they will fly with Turkish Airlines.

Yes but there is a degree of discretion involved with enforcement. My judgement here was that this was a topic largely for Swedish fans to co-ordinate with each other for greeting Jinro etc if they so wished. As such the use of Swedish here would not be the same as using it in a topic about religion or something.
Livestream, Jinro arrives to Stockholm Jinro arrives to Stockholm at 11.20. We will livestream the meeting. Streaming will start as Jinro arrives to the terminal. The Stream

wwhy?
IdrA believes HuK is not very good or undeserving of the recognition he gets, based on that he thinks HuK is a bad player and is only considered good by the community because he is protoss. On stage at MLG Dallas 2011 last week, after beating HuK, IdrA on the main stage made the comment that HuK could never beat him straight up and is only good because he is protoss. So it would definitely be an awkward car ride and I would love to have a video of someone in the car with them recording it ^_^.
Huk is Code S, but I guess it's too easy to get there... *sarcasm*
Omg this is so hilarious The CEO of DreamHack said that he was going to deal with Huk and IdrA the same way he does his kids. Both in the back seat next to each other and if they don't behave they don't get any ice cream xD
Awesome stuff, organizing and making this happen (whole tourney and this nice welcome), by Hellspawn, Greykarn, Ponde and all the people there. Keep it up!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32CpZDhSmRs&feature=feedu XD The CEO of Dreamhack (who was going to be the chauffeur to the hotel) when asked about driving IdrA and HuK: "Both in the backseat next to each other, and then the same thing I do with my kids: 'if you're not quiet and calm, no ice cream for you.' "

It's really cool to see that Aftonbladet.se is going to cover the tournament in the degree they are going too. They are the largest newspaper in Scandinavia.
There is a quick interview with IdrA and TLO the last 2 minutes there for anyone who want to skip to the english speeking part.

QUICK! What is the Korean netizen's reaction to the foreigner netizen's reaction to the swedish fan's reactions to Jinro, Huk and MC's reactions to the welcome back party?
