I see a lot of foreigners that would've raped most of the Code A players, but never went to Korea to participate in the GSL. In my opinion, NASL is a lot closer to 'The best in the world' than GSL, without actually being all the very best players in the world. O_O stop smoking crack. The GSL definitely has a stronger player base than the NASL. There's maybe 16 code S level foreigners, but there are a lot more koreans who are that level. I prefer the TSL over the GSL any day of the week regardless. Foreign leagues are better, but I do wish that the NASL would hire TSL casters/production crew to work on the league ><

Not going to put "unconditional support" even if it's in the name of Esports. It's very important that it is actually professional and well presented and interesting if it wants to succeed anyway so i think some quality control is necesarry so that leagues don't get complacent because they think they can ride on the esports bandwagon. If the product turns out well then i'll gladly pay the 20/25 bucks Price is not the issue here.

I'd also be interested to know about the stream itself, is it being hosted by Justin.tv, in which case I'll probably never be buying, or have the NASL got their own set up?

Like so much. But asking us to pay for content that has not been revealed yet is kinda a hard thing to do. I am not even talking about the games, I know there will be some sick ass matches with the player pool they have. I am talking about the shows, news, casters and maps. I think asking people to pony up hard cash before give them a good idea of what they are paying for is a very bad idea. From a business point of view I feel it would be a smart idea to let people watch the first week of content completely free. All games, all shows etc etc, Its a great opportunity to show off the full extent of your hard work and the full breadth of what the NASL can offer. You could even leave non-match content free or whatever. And I can totally understand the fact you are charging for this. I could give a damn if they are profiting off this! We need organisations to profit off Esports in order to bring some sort of stability to it instead of the trend of big organisations putting money into tournaments and them failing spectacularly. I know that NASL will be amazing but I am one of those stupid sheep like ESPORTS fanatics that just loves anything that puts $$$ into Esports. But NASL needs to convince the people who are more sensible than me ![]()

I probably wait for 1-2 weeks to see how this evolves and plays out. Does sound like a pretty fair deal tho.

To have access to this NASL Season One through Justin.tv do I have to purchase anything else from Justin.tv to view like VIP service they offer or is this one time seperate payment? 2. Where will the VoDs be hosted on Nasl.tv directly, Justin.tv or will I be able to view them through any type of media players and not be forced to watche embedded videos? 3. Will I be able to use any of VoD features to download them and watch them on Android phone / iPhone on the go 4. Will any of the VoDs be hosted on third party sites like youtube that will ruin the whole purpose of paying for the season ticket if you can't watch every day live? 5. What efforts is Nasl.tv making to try and stop twitter / facebook and post made directly by the company and streaming partner Justin.tv from posting spoilers of matches that some viewers will have to wait till later point to watch? Looked at F.A.Q on site and previous post but I still had these questions. If they had been previously answered in a 100+ page thread I appoligize for asking them again but they are relevant to me as someone who is intending to buy every season ticket. I would like to know the answers to these questions as well. Also a previous poster mentioned a trial period, say maybe a free weekend or something. That way people can see what they will be paying for and potentially add more subscribers. Also, I'd like to say that people need to get behind the players more. I know casters/commentators (2 different things entirely, ie Artosis is a commentator and Tasteless is a caster) can add and make the game more interesting to watch. But even Day[9] has said that supporting the players is the best way to contribute. And with the NASL player line up, the games will be so siiiiicccckkkkkk.

Also the comparison to TV is pretty poor. Getting some form of TV to your house usually gives you access to way more content than this would. I'm fine with the idea of paying for it, just maybe you should compare it to something like season tickets for a sport team? oo Edit: On April 02 2011 05:34 Klonere wrote: I really, really want to support the NASL. Almost every organizer has had trouble with their events as they start up; even GOM with their unrivaled budget. A week free would entice people, give time to clear up errors with streaming, desyncing, or what have you. Unless NASL is 100% sure everything is going to be spot on from day 1. A new standard being set for SC2 organizers would be cool.

Also I hope no one is guilted into paying for it by people claiming they are "the enemy of Esports!!!" if they don't.

Hardly, I'm not going to give a penny if I think the NASL quality is awful. I highly doubt it is anything but great but that's not the point. In what world does something this big survive on people who want to throw money to "support X"? I'm going to pay if I deem it worth my money, I wouldn't give two shits about anything e-sports if it kept throwing out less than awesome products hoping I'll pay to "help the growth of e-sports". No, I'll pay if it's worth my money. Other ideals be damned. If it is a good, quality products it'll live on, if not it won't and there's not much more to it.
