My Account has been hacked too. Since you need to have a keylogger on your computer follow the steps on blizzards support site. Schould remove any relevant keyloggers. If you call Blizzards free support they should provide the link to their keylogger site.

I personally reanstalled my computer to be sure everything is removed. Since there are hackers that are not only intrestet in wow accounts, an almost removed logger can be really painfull.

This is probably your problem here. Especially if you have a yahoo/google account.

Happened to me back in beta and it was a replay site. They ended up making a trial wow account and it got banned first day it was active.

I am pretty smart with computers, but, not so smart with email security. I now have a seperate email for things that are tied to money, like gaming, paypal, etc.

I had my acc hacked.I received the email from Blizz saying that if changed the password.I didn't payed attention to it mostly (i tought it was one of the "click to go to a fake blizz site") and when i logged in the evening i couldn't use my acc.I managed to retrieve it,using one of the game's code (it was the Wotlk i think).

My best friend advised me to write my pass on a .doc file and using copy+paste to paste it when i want to log it.That was trojans or other spyware can't steal it(they only can if u type it).

My account was hacked too, and becouse i was stupid and i had the same password to my email, he also hacked it... So i phone called to the Blizzard support, explain the situation, answer few questions and i had my account back in 15 min...

Theoretically, a virus can just as easily sneak into your clipboard though.

A couple of days ago I went to bed at like 00:10 and when I woke up the next morning I checked my mail and saw this email from blizzard that someone had changed my password right after I went to sleep (the mail had been sent at 00:15 or something). The wierd part is that I had the same password on battle.net as my email and all my other stuffs but nothing else than my bnet account was hacked which seems a bit strange. He didnt even log in to my account on Starcraft. I think it just was some kind of bug, or possibly the worst hacker in the world.

Anyways, I just went to lost password on battle.net and answered my secret question and renew my password and I had my account back in 5 sec.

Little update:

Received an email (and link) from Blizz when I woke up this morning and I was able to retrieve my account back. Strangely, there was no activity on my account during the time my pw was changed.

I received this email from blizzard,
it was about suspicious activity, and they just voided my password,

I went to the bnet site manually, and couldnt log in.
so I had to reset it in order to get in.

Its good that they were on the ball like that.

Havent read most of the replies, but this happened to a friend about a week ago. He got hacked; his password was changed, and got the blizz email. However he was able to recover his account using his name and security question, and when he checked his match history there was nothing suspicious. Anyways, strange but no harm done I guess.

A couple weeks ago I did get hacked, they couldn't get into my email though, thank god. Got it sorted out by blizzard and now I've got an authenticator for my keychain. Well worth the 6/7 bucks, gives me a lot more peace of mind.
